The scooter badge was RIGHT THERE
Mike, the scooter badge IS what gives you the scooter, it only works on the sprint hat and doesn't work if you don't equip it (the badge and/or the sprint hat)

Little precision about the Murder movie. If you accused your aunt of being the criminal, it's revealed that it was actually DJ Grooves using a communicator taped to the back of the cardboard. He got the help of the owl who accepted to play dead for him. Grooves was trying to help the Conductor, who was having trouble coming up with ideas for the movie, by setting this up. And the deep voice on the phone was also him. That's why the carboard dog is back in his level.

@@ThatBlendingGuy Yeah both characters have their flaws, but I think that DJ Grooves is nicer than Conductor. And he only won the Bird Awards once. It's like its most prized possession while Conductor has douzens of trophies from the contest everywhere. I feel kinda bad for Grooves.
But once again he isn't perfect either since, if he wins, he wants to use the Time Piece to win all the trophies Conductor won, accusing him of cheating to get them, and saying they should belong to him. But in my opinion Conductor is also worse because he already has all the trophies and wants to use the Time Piece to take the one trophy Grooves ever had.
While Grooves' motivation for getting all these trophies can be interpreted as wanting to feel accomplished, because losing so many times against Conductor could make him feel like he's a failure, Conductor already has all the trophies except one.
Him wanting to take the one trophy that Grooves ever had is just pure greed. He can't stand not having ALL the trophies. This trophy is Groove's only reward, the one possession he cherishes the most, his pride and joy, the one and only proof that he did it. That he is still in the game. And Conductor wants to take it away from him because he's not content with not having every single one of the trophies, which is just awful.

On the menu you need to equip the badges you buy, they arent automatically equipped and you need pins to equip more at once
mikes reaction to all the weirdly dark stuff in this game is priceless and make sure to know that the pages you get in purple rifts are actually character backstorys and make sense when you get them all it isnt just art

Mike that badge WAS the scooter. You didn't read the full description and assumed it was something for the scooter, but the badge said it upgrades your sprint hat into a scooter.
Getting all the pages in the rifts gives you more info on characters. Would recommend you do that for completion, but it's still fine if you don't
The scooter is actually a badge that you can get from the first batch of badges (world 1)
It’s pretty easy to get and all you really need to do is farm mafia town until you can buy it
snatcher is a bloody brilliant character and i love characters like him. Thats why i was so excited for a hat in time playthough and also bille bust up

27:10 you can collect extra things in the pink time rifts called storybook pages, if you collect all of them it reveals a story, for example that was the mafia bosses backstory, and every pink time rift has its own story that reveals the backstory of all the characters from the various chapters
The collected artwork from the time rifs are actually part of a set of storybooks that tells the backstory of the characters you came across.
With the one you collected so far is The Mafia's backstory and how they arrived on the island.
Dude had enough to buy the scooter and assumed it was an upgarde for the scooter and not the hat that uses it....😅

Snatcher is one of my favourite characters in this game, he is so funny and chaotic and I wouldn't have him any other way! (Also, you totally screwed your soul over!)
These frequent uploads of yours regarding an array of indie games lately have been entertaining, your frequent schedule of uploading is very impressive.
Regarding Hat in Time, there are a few brief things I should note;
The painting pictures you collect in the rifts are basically pieces to the lore of the worlds
The scooter isn’t a separate item that you get. If you equip the red speed hat and then purchase the scooter badge, you can ride the scooter.
There’s some cool development history for this game too, the initial version had time travel being the main focus, with there being various scrapped characters, but the development of the time travel was very difficult to develop, so it was mostly scrapped.
Thank you for the entertaining uploads across the years, it’s much appreciated. :)
How you get the scooter is to buy the badge that says; upgrade your (sprint hat) to a scooter, it makes that hat INTO a scooter, then that's how you get the scooter! I just want to explain that-

Mike, that badge that said "Turns your sprint hat into a scooter" means that it replaces your sprinting with the scooter. That's how you buy it.

The no bonk badge is actually super useful for jumps and not for the scooter . The scooter badge actually gives you the scooter not upgrades it. And the weird mumbling badge is just for fun and jokes. Overall the no bonk badge is the best. Just dive on a wall and you can immediately jump .btw the purple time rifts are more story based and pages hidden around reveal some backstory for characters. I’m glad you’re playing my favorite game and hope you continue 😊

Fun fact, you can find time rifts in differnt worlds and if you find a purple time rift you can even get a sneak peek into rhe characters backstories

Bijuu!! You need to purchase the scooter badge to get the scooter!! It replaces the sprint hat! Make sure to equip it, though!! Also, I don’t recommend buying badges like mumbling, they are super useless! Most of the time, you can see which are useless since they have flies around them on the menu!
It's so funny how the scooter badge said it turns his sprint hat to a scooter. Yet he didn't read it and ignored it lmao. Love you Bijuu Mike. But seriously 🤣❤
When I first played this game, I got so distracted on the first level that I somehow had already been able to get both the swift and brewer hat before I even talked to the mustache girl. I also had a bunch of badges. When I finally went to the mustache girl, I realized I had broken the game cuz she wouldn't interact with me. I left the level and came back (still had all my stuff) and FINALLY started to progress in the actual story. It had already been like two hours 😅

what i like about a hat in time is that it's actually easier to play if you mess around more since you get rewarded for having adhd and going off track then focusing on the story

(the purple time rifts are time pieces that smashed into someone.. so they're memories of the past, those books are important for the "Lore" in how these worlds came to be.)
The reason behind the different yarn is that when you see a new kind of Yarn, you can now make that hat. It only matters the first time you see it, so until you saw a Brewing Yarn, you couldn't make the Brewing Hat.
All Yarn can be used for any hat. So the Yarn types is just Blueprints, basically.
No Bijuu, The badge at 8:52 makes your Speed hat into a scooter

Hey Mike, I suggest using Assist Mode, it's in Accessibility settings in the game. It gives you 8 lives and if you don't move for a while, it will regenerate your health

also if you want to play full multiplayer there is a machine near the mafia world that allows you to choose different servers and join other people in levels (peck is the most populated server btw)

I said this on the other video as well but I’ll say it again. The different types of yarn work like this: you need to collect only one yarn of a type to create a new type of hat then you can collect whatever other yarn to get enough to actually stitch it
