Her are my personal thoughts on the game as of right now. please keep in mind that these are just my opinion and I am not saying I am definitely correct. (Warning, VERY long comment) MOVES It's almost identical to the last update we got, most noticeable difference is the flying, I don't see much wrong with it, it shows that Billie is quite athletic and magical, but what I'd suggest to the devs is making flying limited. maybe tie it to some sort of mana system or something, or maybe a certain item can activate it for a bit (Like the Golden feather in Celeste). I'd go with the latter because that opens up an interesting possibility for a flying boss. The Shield... I've got a bone to pick with the shield. It's way too overpowered. In Fantoccioes fight, you can just block through almost every attack. Yes the shield is breakable from overtime use but blocking with the shield should damage it, and if fully destroyed, should result in a longer cooldown period. You want the shield to feel like a last case scenario in case you can't actually move out of the way. This, in theory, should give the player a more rewarding experience when they do dodge. I also feel like the shield should have more of a parry mechanic for more attacks, you can see this when Fantoccio launches a single fireball at the player, hold the shield for to long and the fireball gets completely blocked instead of being reflected. I feel like this could also be the case with the hands. You can see that the hands grab onto the shield but they don't do much other than hold Billy in place for a bit. I feel like dropping the shield right as the hands hit should repel them entirely, otherwise, Billy gets a broken shield, because the hands are too fast and large to just simply put a solid thing in the way and expect it not to be broken. The shield is mostly okay in Barnibies chase, but the above still applies (I'd recommend the knife swing to instantly break the shield) TLDR: Change flying to be limited Nerf Shield, let attacks damage it and add a more fleshed out parry mechanic
Yes shield is so OP like you can block everything you can spam. make the recharge time longer so you cant use it every 5 secs and yes change flight to be limited
fun fact: if fantoccio is stunned and you dont hit him and wait he will say secret voicelines. he says stuff like "cmoooon. you can hit me now"
