I played this on a friend's system decades ago. I was a big fan of Gauss cannon and disruptors, if I hadn't already "acquired" death rays. I never used fighters. Watching you use them, though, I might change my tactics. It seems to compensate against higher tech Bad Guy beam weapons and shields. It also looks like a heck of a lot of fun!
Hi Rocco! You know how you can put outposts on gas giants and asteroids? Could you add a trigger at planetary reconstruction, that if you crash a colony ship into an outpost on an asteroid or gas giant it becomes a barren world with a marine base. Please and thank you* P.S. if you actually consider doing this, you might want to put planet construction on its own tier, like terraforming.

@@Vognee no, 1.50i is a step up from standard, but not close to ICE difficulty.
