    Cholesterol is part of the immune system. Artificially lowering it may lead to premature death. - If you want to lower heart disease risk, lower inflammation by reducing stress and eating an anti-inflammatory diet. Like lots of red meat and zero carbs.

    • @j-sm4554
      @j-sm4554 Рік тому +47

      You're saying that meat is anti-inflammatory? Not sure where you get your science... antioxidants are anti-inflammatory, and they're in plants.

    • @wocket42
      @wocket42 Рік тому +49

      @J-S M eating only meat is anti inflammatory. Your body will create ketone bodies which have a great anti inflammatory effect as the body will make all the anti oxidants it needs itself. No plants needed. In fact, eating no food at all has the same effect. I assume you have heard about the healing effects of fasting? However, if you do eat a lot of carbs, maybe you need extra anti oxidants as the body will stop making them. That's why some people conclude you need the anti oxidants in plants in all cases.. That's only true in a high carb world. You have been mislead by people with an agenda.

    • @j-sm4554
      @j-sm4554 Рік тому +23

      @youtuber42 pleade provide sources of long-term atudies supporting this. To my knowledge, there are none. Because it's not facts but only hypothesis. Ketosis is a last resort mechanism for the body to survive when food is scarcely available. If you think that is a long-term solution, you have been misled. In ketosis, fat is turned into sugar by the body to use as fuel. As you may know, your brain only runs on sugar as fuel. That alone should tell you how important carbs are for humans.

    • @j-sm4554
      @j-sm4554 Рік тому +24

      As for cholesterol, it's the other way around: the body produces all the cholesterol it needs to function properly. Dietary cholesterol is superfluous, hence its negative impact. So, not ingesting dietary cholesterol is NOT artificially lowering it. Ingesting cholesterol is actually artificially increasing it.

    Because of auto immune issues and arthritis, I recently had to go on a strictly meat diet. I eat animal products from beef to shellfish, and I only use animal fat to cook with.. I did this for one reason and that was to eliminate foods that might be triggering my issues. I have been put on statins a year ago and every single one I tried made me sick.. I started a carnivore eating plan. I have lost about 14 pounds in two weeks. I sleep really well at night now . I don’t have any aches and pains… my skin has never looked better.

      Your numbers are similar to what mine were.....Try this Omega 3 fatty acid smoothie,...... 8 to 10 ounces unsweetened almond milk,...1 ounce of Braggs apple cider vinegar, with the mother.Remember to shake the bottle to get it off the bottom....1 banana,....2 handfuls of unsweetened frozen blueberries,...1 handful of walnut pieces.Blend until smooth,drink all at once or through out the day,every day for as long as you want and watch your numbers plummet. My total cholesterol dropped by 80 points in 3 weeks,my other numbers dropped significantly as well.All I did was add this smoothie daily, didn't change anything else about my diet.It does it by feeding and healing the micro biome in your intestinal wall ( Leaky Gut).An inexpensive way to get your bloodwork done is to donate blood every 8 weeks,they should give you your macro numbers for free and your micro ones for a small fee or for accumulated donor points.You can also add some baby kale or spinach for even more nutrient healing density, if you can stand the taste.Enjoy😊

    I started to include more whole grains and beans/lentils into my diet in an attempt to improve my hormones and overall health.
    While my overall cholesterol went down as did my LDL, unfortunately so did my HDL…and my triglycerides shot way up!
    I feel some whole grains and beans/lentils are good, but veganism is not for me. Moderation is key in my case.
    I source out ethically raised livestock, fish and poultry as much as possible and try to get my fibre from vegetables…and will eat beans and whole grains occasionally.
