My grandfather's cholesterol was 303. He ate meat, eggs, dairy. Very little fruits and vegetables. And hardly any carbs. He only lived to 98
You have to think though…for a significant portion of his life the meat, eggs and dairy and carbs he ate weren’t hyper industrialized and nutrient deficient.
@@lovinglife419 you do know that our ancestors grew up on meat and fat for thousands of years.
U didn’t read what he said, the foods have been industrialized meaning processed foods which makes up a lot of meat products on the shelf
Also, they didn't sit around much back I the olden days...
Supper hard working very active from early morning till late!!!
No remotes, cellphones, heck most didn't have a horse, car, bike....major difference to today
I'm surprised they didn't recommended us to eat some cholesterol destroyer magic pill, that arguably might give you tipe 2 diabetes... But hey same pharmacy also sells some dope ass pills for diabetes

As a Mexican I have absolutely no issues eating all these delicious foods. Especially the beans 🫘 😂
For sure!
Beans, Broccoli, and Brussel Sprouts make me fart.
@@virginiaconnor8350😂😂😂 same as me..

Soak your beans for a day or two in water. I’ve got nothing for the Brussels sprouts and broccoli though…

No carbs, no sugars. Increase your protein intake. My cholesterol, insulin, & triglycerides values are perfect 👍
Completely agree with you. Damn! Oats? I used to get acid reflux/Gerd and bloatedness whenever I eat OATS. But glad, since no carbs and no sugars.. All gone. Been 3 years now.
Just keep in mind the parameters for any kind of blood work are all "man made" and over time they have changed.....moderation is the key and stay away from highly processed foods and DONT let your doctor put you on any medication for just one or two out of the range readings....
Here's the list:

Psyllium Husk

Thank you
Thank you!
Benecol margarine on your sandwich ❤
And BERRIES! (mentioned after avocado and before dark chocolate).
Fun tip on Kale; I freeze it and dump into smoothies. You still get the definite green color, but it tones down the taste considerably. Spinach ... Well, I won't eat it from a can, but a good spinach salad with kale and other leafy greens is definitely a fave!
Great tips! Thank you 🌟
Excellent...let thy food be thy medicine....great to see conventional medicine embracing it

Love these guys, finally the medical profession promoting food as medicine ❤❤
We sure are Fiona. It's the answer
They should leave it to dieticians though....
They should read the new research instead of relying on old outdated dogma. Veggie are poison to the body, but i'm okay with you all eating them, cuz it keep my meat prices down! Wanna be healthy eat lots of red fatty meat and if you want to be sick and at the doctors all the time then eat the SAD diet, ya veggie, soda, candy and ultra processed food keep these guys employed....wouldn't you promote what keep you employed.

Dang. So that spinach, blueberry, banana, chia, flax, coconut water smoothie I’m having every morning is probably the reason my cholesterol is down. Woohoooo! Thanks, Doctors!
Need to try this smoothie. Thanks!
Sounds delicious! May I ask if you can share the recepie please?
I actually think bananas, although a common pair with berries, can block some the effectiveness of the blueberry antioxidants. Maybe try strawberries instead?
U mix them all together in blender?😊

😂😂😂 I love how that 1 Dr. just skipped over the last part of the famous quote about beans. Too funny!
...the more OFTEN you eat them, the less you fart.
I think that these foods are good for everything. ♥️
Sure are
Nope! Those are slave, pauper, peasants food. Animal-based is human's natural diet especially red meat and the associated fat.
Yes white all their toxins they must be amazing. I’ll stick to my carnivore diet and happy to put my blood work up against a veggies anytime.
Why reduce cholesterol? Before the clogging the arteries brigade jump in. Go and read the exact science on this. I’ll give you a hint - more people have problems with low cholesterol than they do with high.
@@granddaddyofthemall6320correct.
Sounds great, I love most of the foods, So it will be easy for me. Thanks for sharing. 💕
Cholesterol is part of the immune system. Artificially lowering it may lead to premature death. - If you want to lower heart disease risk, lower inflammation by reducing stress and eating an anti-inflammatory diet. Like lots of red meat and zero carbs.
You're saying that meat is anti-inflammatory? Not sure where you get your science... antioxidants are anti-inflammatory, and they're in plants.
@J-S M eating only meat is anti inflammatory. Your body will create ketone bodies which have a great anti inflammatory effect as the body will make all the anti oxidants it needs itself. No plants needed. In fact, eating no food at all has the same effect. I assume you have heard about the healing effects of fasting? However, if you do eat a lot of carbs, maybe you need extra anti oxidants as the body will stop making them. That's why some people conclude you need the anti oxidants in plants in all cases.. That's only true in a high carb world. You have been mislead by people with an agenda.
@youtuber42 pleade provide sources of long-term atudies supporting this. To my knowledge, there are none. Because it's not facts but only hypothesis. Ketosis is a last resort mechanism for the body to survive when food is scarcely available. If you think that is a long-term solution, you have been misled. In ketosis, fat is turned into sugar by the body to use as fuel. As you may know, your brain only runs on sugar as fuel. That alone should tell you how important carbs are for humans.
As for cholesterol, it's the other way around: the body produces all the cholesterol it needs to function properly. Dietary cholesterol is superfluous, hence its negative impact. So, not ingesting dietary cholesterol is NOT artificially lowering it. Ingesting cholesterol is actually artificially increasing it.
Sound advise. Cut the sugar in your diet and Cholesterol will naturally reduce.
My wife sautéed Bitter Melon (Bitter Gourd). That's what i ate for 3 months with fish and cup of brown rice. My cholesterol went so low they took me off medicine. You can purchase them at any Asian Market.
How did she sautee it for three months? Was it different foods?
@@joyandpeacefullaughter5307 You cut them into small cubes, soak it with salt for 20 mins. Rinse well and cook with garlic, onion, and tomatoes. Taste really good with fish.
Please send me the recipes, if your wife is good with it. Thank you either way. 😊

For anyone having cholesterol issues you might just be prediabetic or diabetic so work on...
Organ Detox:
1. Fix your blood glucose levels - Get off your devices get natural sunlight avoid blue light
2. Stop the sugars - even healthy fruits & juices aren't good
3. Eat fruits in season - berries
4. Take Turmeric capsules in high concentration with curcumin 95% percentile carcuminoids
5. Do a full body detox - milk thistle, dandelion, cascara, parsley, bearberry to get toxins out of the liver
6. Do an abdomen castor oil wrap
We would agree with 1-4. Limited if any evidence for 5 and 6 but personal choice for sure. Thanks for sharing
@TalkingWithDocs agreed at the end it's everyone's choice & preference how they want to go about getting their health back on track. I just don't understand why cholesterol meds are given for life when fat is an essential part of the inner workings of the body specially the brain...doesn't this lack of good fat up the chances of dementia & alzheimer?
You guys are great. I add broccoli to my meal every day. Raw if I'm eating a salad, and drop it in a cooked meal last minute for great bright green steamed broccoli. Delish.
The cruciferous vegetables are so powerful and should be consumed daily. Way to go!

Fish must be wild caught. Farm raised is dangerous. Don't eat tuna more than twice a week. Thanks for sharing.

I eat all of these things so I was shocked to be told that I had high cholesterol, 6.5, but when I asked for a breakdown, my ratio of total cholesterol to HDL is 3.90 so if I've understood correctly, all is well.
My medial understanding is that high HDL does not mitigate all the risks from high LDL. If you aren't doing cardio or need to lose weight then these are the two most powerful things you can do for this. Total cholesterol is not what really matters, it is LDL and VLDL.
Thanks Docs, great video and have a blessed day!🤗😋

Note on Oats- they need to be organic, because oat crops are sprayed just 2 weeks before harvest to hasten ripening. The pesticides cause all kinds of problems.

Thank you Doctors! Feeling good! All ready eating all of your recommendations. ❤
Because of auto immune issues and arthritis, I recently had to go on a strictly meat diet. I eat animal products from beef to shellfish, and I only use animal fat to cook with.. I did this for one reason and that was to eliminate foods that might be triggering my issues. I have been put on statins a year ago and every single one I tried made me sick.. I started a carnivore eating plan. I have lost about 14 pounds in two weeks. I sleep really well at night now . I don’t have any aches and pains… my skin has never looked better.
I went carnivore, and my cholesterol went from 138 to 223 and my LDL is up to 160… It was not a good move for me
@@dougowens4508it’s fine as long as your metabolically healthy
I'm not a doctor, but I agree with these recommendations, as well as reducing your animal fats, exercising & losing weight. I went from 255 to 195 mg/dL, and I'm still working on it. I still eat some high cholesterol foods, but only once a week and in smaller quantity.
That’s awesome John
How long did that take you?
@@angelac273 July 28 - November 22. Now it's winter here, and I'm exercising very little. I should probably retake the test. Also, in spite is my efforts, my good cholesterol (HDL) dropped from 36 to 33 mg/dL.
Sugar and PUFAs are what’s bad. You can eat steak and eggs everyday and you would get healthier. Cholesterol is irrelevant

I'm a problem case... My Cholesterol is 251, triglycerides 361, LDL 144, Non HDL 200 and Direct LDL 156. I'm vegetarian... more like junkaterian lol. I don't eat fish, broccoli, most beans etc. I'm having a hard time finding things that I'll eat that'll help me lower my cholesterol. Any suggestions?
Yes Tera the junk food vegans and vegetarians struggle. Best advice is to get rid of sugar and processed foods. Get rid of dairy. And start eating more whole foods that are plants. It will come down. Best of luck.
Your numbers are similar to what mine were.....Try this Omega 3 fatty acid smoothie,...... 8 to 10 ounces unsweetened almond milk,...1 ounce of Braggs apple cider vinegar, with the mother.Remember to shake the bottle to get it off the bottom....1 banana,....2 handfuls of unsweetened frozen blueberries,...1 handful of walnut pieces.Blend until smooth, drink all at once or through out the day, every day for as long as you want and watch your numbers plummet. My total cholesterol dropped by 80 points in 3 weeks,my other numbers dropped significantly as well. All I did was add this smoothie daily, didn't change anything else about my diet.It does it by feeding and healing the micro biome in your intestinal wall ( Leaky Gut).An inexpensive way to get your bloodwork done is to donate blood every 8 weeks, they should give you your macro numbers for free and your micro ones for a small fee or for accumulated donor points. You can also add some baby kale or spinach for even more nutrient healing density, if you can stand the taste.Enjoy😊
You should change your diet completely 😢
Try red nut palm oil, this lowered my bad cholesterol.

No problem 👍
I started to include more whole grains and beans/lentils into my diet in an attempt to improve my hormones and overall health.
While my overall cholesterol went down as did my LDL, unfortunately so did my HDL…and my triglycerides shot way up!
I feel some whole grains and beans/lentils are good, but veganism is not for me. Moderation is key in my case.
I source out ethically raised livestock, fish and poultry as much as possible and try to get my fibre from vegetables…and will eat beans and whole grains occasionally.

Don't know if you're male/female but the body produces cholesterol to combat inflammation. It's common for a menopausal woman to have "high" c. because hormones are in Flux. Hormones are made from cholesterol.
It's a bit more complicated than that, genetics also play a role.
