Thank you so much for these video's! I am planning my wedding in October and I want to make my own cake, these videos are going to help me soooo much. I already know what flavor cake I want but I need some ideas for decorating.
Yes, you can use fabric to cover the cake board, but you must have the cake on it's own cardboard the same size as the cake (then this set on top of the fabric) so that the cake does not touch the fabric--since fabric is not necessarily a food-contact-safe item.
Carpet tape? I'm assuming it's at the hardware store in the carpet area. It appears to be black in the video? Just checking before I go and look for it.
Thanks so much for the video! ive always had lumps and lumps of foil left over from overlapping foil. on my board lol i will also do the buttercream icing tommorow. wish me luck :)

@o0MaryCakes0o On our website under Cake Decorating Supplies then Foil Rolls.
It's on our website (link in description just below video). Just search for "foil rolls."
What do material used for board? Is that very thin wood?
Could you use almost anything for covering cake boards? Say, a thin shimmery fabric? I've heard that satiney material cleans nicely.

Thank you so much for the fast reply! u guys are amazing i learnt so much from you
The tape is on the bottom side and does not show--the covering has to be attached somehow.
This is very helpful thank you 🙏
The cake is on its own separate cardboard the same size as the cake. The carpet tape is between the two pieces of cardboard.

hola como se llama el papel? el video esta en ingles y no entiendo una palabra! jeje!!
You flip the board over and put the cake on the top, fully-covered side.
Me too! :)
A carpet tape??? Much better to spread a little bit of icing to stick on cake to the board.
In warmer climates or transporting vehicles, the shortening in the icing can get soft/slipery. The carpet tape is more secure.
