That first siege battle really had me on my toes 😅. That was close, and that one chad Spear Levy won the day. Let's face it. Also, these bots 😂
The longer you stretch the unit line, the more guns can fire at once. It's possible to outgun the AI by making your line longer than theirs, and then wrap around the ends to flank.
Wau :0, the initial battle made me a bit worried about the northern sitation, but, Jesus!! those final battles, especially the last one were a work of art, once again you schowed the imperialist whos boss!!, always love your vids.
Please for the love of all things Shogun. Please do a “day in the life” of that 1 spear unit guy that stood his ground on that backside of the castle. We haven’t had one in a long time.

Now that you are going to send your Daimyo to the Northern Island, I think it would be an excellent idea to, after reconquering everything, distribute your veteran White Tigers in all the garrisons on the island (so that they can defend themselves in the following Invasions) and create a new line infantry with more advanced units such as the Black Turtles or the Dragons; on the other hand, remember that you have an Armstrong cannon in your capital, so you can pass it on to the Daimyo's army when you return. However, be careful with long journeys, because it is easy for an enemy fleet to arrive and destroy it (so I would say that it is better to send your army to the closest port possible to the Northern Island, as well as the ship).
P.S: when you withdrew your Damyio from the city where he was at the beginning of the episode, you also took the garrison with him, that is why public order in the city fell; On the other hand, the reason why your levy lancers quickly lost morale in the first siege was because you turned your back on part of the cavalry, next time, you better make a defensive triangle or wait for the cannons to be unprotected to attack.
So a quick hint if it makes sense: When your unit is close to the city but can't make it even though it looks like they should be able to, like around the 5:00 mark, select the unit that's already in the city, make them join the units you're trying to get into the city, then command them to enter the city together and they should be able to make it in. Happens a lot with me too but most of the time it works.

Just watched the first battle, try not to engage the enemy outside the fortress as your morale is severely weakened on defensive sieges in the field unless you have a overwhelming superiority

You need to start making some of the provinces in the north your vassals. They give you money, and they can fund their own armies to defend themselves!

When your chasing armies and there’s only a few units left of an energy just split your general and the cavalry to chase them down, artillery is slowing you down.
Yes this helps so much with finishing armies
Here some advice
Step1- stop recruiting expensive, rely on numbers rather than qualities
Step2- Build Financial District in every city
Step3- Build powerful naval to protect your ports
Step4- Rely on your allies to protect for a while
step 0.1 recuit foreign veterans for your main army's to boost their power

When you end the battle it kills everyone on the battlefield so I would recommend doing that instead of continuing the battle. That will help from leaving a few units alive after the battle to destroy your farms and stuff.

just give them command to fire hahah, they the troops get a direct order instead of giving them the chance to all be ready to line up perfectly by the AI movement.

Good job on the last battle of the video Bropollo. Thought for sure you were gonna have to take the L then retake that town later.
You should set your taxes to max one turn and normal the next.
The citites can be mad for a single turn. It's 30 seconds of micro management per turn, but it would give you the funds you need to turn this around.... It's nearly impossible to win on vh setting with out this cheese... think of it as war economy taxes if you need to role play it.
Use the cash to build economic buildings and stack it, you will be able to feild a navy and a few armies to push the campaign to a close.
