You’re welcome 😊
Just came back, super again
Best festival of the year!

Yes! Thank you! 🥰
Was a great weekend. Booking for next year too 😀
Can't wait!
Wow big event I have to add that to next years outings, great vid Saffy 😉🤗
You should!
pocket sprocket? 😂😂 everyone knows you're the discount itchy boots lady. Looks like fun, hope you've had a great weekend
🤣🤣🤣🤣 half price, good bargain
Who is Itchy Boots, have I missed something.
@@Normanskie someone asked saff if she was itchy boots while she was away. Itchy boots is quite a famous motovlogger
Itchy Boots is the definitive motorcycle traveller.
@@NormanskieYou’ve missed quite a bit. Google for more. You won’t regret it 😊
You have caught the sun young lady.
I was royally burnt 🔥
It was an amazing event, spotted you from a distance having a great time. It was sooooo hot in riding gear for demo rides :D Roll on 2025!!
Yes it was! I felt like I was going to pass out on the heat at some points
great seeing you there
And you!
I was interested in going a couple of years ago and when I was talking to people I was really put off... The general comments were that it was too big, too busy and far to corporate. That it had lost what it was to adventure and to go touring...
Now it seems everything is worse... it's not a festival you can just be at and enjoy. Everything is prebooked and pre organised and it just seems to be one hell of a money pit. I have a feeling there are probably more manufacturers and retailers there than at the NEC for the annual Motorcycle Bike Show which just proves the point.
Maybe one day I'll go but for now, I'll look forward to the far smaller and more intimate 'Overland Festival '25' in Oxford.
Festivals have always been like this! Look at Glastonbury! I think what you need is a motorbike rally rather than a festival. Its just blokes and bikes and riding near a pub :D
@@SaffySprocket I disagree... it's what festivals can become AFTER they become famous and they lose themselves in the chase of being 'bigger and better' each year, Glastonbury, Download and even the smaller Bloodstock are all far too oversized now that they have lost what they used to be about. I mean, if you are walking around a festival that you have paid a lot of money to be at and yet you can't partake in so much of it because it was all pre-booked and sold out months before hand just like at ABR, then you really need to think again about the nature of that festival. Why go to a music festival to watch a performance from so far away that even the image on huge stage-side screens look tiny?
But there are festivals that keep a focus on their origins and their goals. To be community focused rather than commercially and money focused. Most of the time you won't hear or know of them without word of mouth and when talking about them, most others won't know they exist either. Overland Festival is the antithesis of ABR and I loved it for that, I am also interested in The Lightweight Adventure Festival. One consistent thing though is that when you find a few people who went to the very early versions of these massive festivals, they almost always say the same thing, that it isn't the same not and while they may still love it, it's not as good or as welcoming as it once was.
Check out the LightWeight Adventurers festival! I'm heading there in 3 weeks! Might be more your cup of tea
@@SaffySprocket yeah... I've heard about that too... Definitely one to follow up on.
T'was a super festival. Hope you got to see as much as I did. Great talks. You need to get some more miles in to get you onto one of the stages.
Working on it!
Hope you had a good fun time Saffy 🙂
Yes I did thank you so much ☺️
I managed to win a GoPro on the Friday! Well chuffed!
Ah I'm so jealous! I entered too! Congratulations 🎉👏🏻
Nice 1 Saff. Good info there, cheers ❤
No problem 👍
Currently a deluge of ABR social media. Out of curiosity, was anyone there not filming for their UA-cam or Instagram channel?
I don't know 😅 I film absolutely everything and anything, I just happened to go to ABR
Hope you had a lovely time! I got a bit hot n dehydrated and did my first ever Bridgestone. Did come off the once and have the footage🤪
Oh no didnt know the teapot had folk music, I love that. Next year!
Was so much fun!
P s oh did the Free lesson with adv rides uk thanks to your post on fb. Loved it! Ta.
I got so badly dehydrated too! I can't believe how unbelievably hot it was!!!!
@@SaffySprocket I was tired went back for a snooze, passed out and was like a greenhouse/sauna.
P.s was also bloody cold at night. I thought a thin jungle blanket ok. Bad mistake😂(lucky I took a thick jumper n 4 t shirts).
It was lovely and warm during the day, especially on Saturday, but it was needed after freezing to death Friday night! Great weekend, lots of queuing to get just a few rides but worth the wait. Hope your pizza was good, I couldn’t be bothered to wait but you looked committed so you have more patience than me 😂
It was a rather long queue 😅
❤good 👍 singing ❤
😂
You forgot to mention the fantastic bar staff 😉
Of course!
Hi saffy, Glad you enjoyed yourself, Not really my cup of tea, I don't camp ever , Don't want to queue for hours for toilet or food and drink, But would enjoy seeing all the bikes, and if I got to meet you and some of the other you tube bikers that would be great 👍, It's also a 400 mile round trip. Take care, Best wishes Roy 😊.
There's no toilet queues! And you can rent little huts or bring a campervan too :)
@SaffySprocket Like the sound of a little hut 🛖. Don't have a licence for four wheels and never driven, A true biker!
Gutted I couldn’t make it this year can’t wait for the next one.
Get it booked!
@@SaffySprocket yep all booked see you next year
It was a fantastic weekend. Are you planning on being there next year?
5 years running ;)
Hi Saffy 🙋 Darn! I missed this festival.I would of loved,to be there, just for the location and food. But,you didn't invite me😢ha just kidding.
You need to get yourself there next year!
Ahhhh i missed the learner trials area, assumed it was for the hardcore offroad riders...ah well, next year ill get on it
Hey it dooooonnneee
Hope you enjoyed my home town!?
I love it!
@@SaffySprocket I might have to attend next year
Love the fact my mate found your video and sent the bit with us guessing your UA-cam name 😂
😂😂😂😂😂
He tried 😂
W😂ill ther be more walk around videos, ABR is too uch for just one Vlog.
Tell me about it
Don't worry it rained a bit on Saturday night.
It ALWAYS rains Saturday night! Its so bizarre
Could be a good basis for a PHD?
I would like to have gone and seen the bikes but ive go no interest in getting pissed and listening to bands. If it was £25 i would have gone. But i can get to the stella alpina for the entery fee including channel tunnel. A real adventure.
I didn't drink and I still had a great time! There's a lot more than drinking!
@@SaffySprocket yes but you had to pay £150 for them. Do you think the piece is fair
I've been to a few festivals and ABR is the cheapest one 😅 festivals are just mad expensive in the UK
You'd have to pay me to get on a chanel tunnel train.
@droptuned83 fair enough but the alps on a great bike is something I would recommend to any biker. But you can always take the ferry but remember the titanic. 🧜♀️
Are you originally south african ?
No why
