Everybody like him. He was flamboyant without being arrogant, and his simple likable demeanor gave him an image that people paid to be associated with.
There will never be another like him. Saw him up close at the 2013 USA Pro Challenge, by accident, behind the Liquigas bus working with a mechanic. Stayed quiet and took a ton of pics! He will always be my favorite cyclist! ❤
In the beginning Sagan wanted to quit road racing and focus on mountain biking. Today, Sagan is about to quit road racing and focus on mountain biking! 360°
One of the most talented, charismatic and entertaining sportspersons I have ever seen, in any sport. Just a joy to watch him race. He will be missed. ❤
In a lot of the seasons following 2011 he was the most influential pro cyclist besides Contador. His fan service and humor made all journalists and commentators love him.
Going to miss him, but I think we will still see him in a social media presence and in sponsorship deals. He is still so marketable even when he will be retired
Beast of a youngster in his day people forget this just because what SOME young riders are winning now BECAUSE of the team around them!!! Sagan did soooo much work for himself to win IF he had better support in races AND around him he could have won more 😒🤔😀
He’s been for years a favorite of mine for his bike handling ability and quality across most terrains in the Tour de France and his sprinting! Thanks for your efforts 🖖🏽🖖🏽🖖🏽🖖🏻
This is one thing people should remember. Sagan comes from pretty humble background and the area of Slovakia he is from has never been some prosperous region. This guy basically became a superstar from nothing. Beating all the priviliged belgies, frenchies etc.
Wow! Couldn't speak any English in the start. I reckon today Sagan speaks more grammatically correct English than some of GCN's star presenters. I can call names, but let that slide!
Sagan needs to be enjoying himself to ride a his best, neither of which he has done for several years. I vividly remember a young Sagan dropping ever climber save Nibali on a 20% plus climb in Italy yet still being fast enough to win bunch sprints. My take is somewhere along the line, he stopped putting in the work.
if u believe its that simple, you are clueless its for sure not just motivation, age, kid, health issues past years with injuries also and then you can say motivation is not as big obviously but he was never unmotivated untill maybe past 2 COVID heavy years which he also suffered with lot of health issues with COVID and even outside covid....and last the age he is not in 20s no more so that is also a big factor not everyone will be the same after 30s in pro peloton if they peaked way earlier
thecyclingdane, you should've cited some CONTRAST for more fitting context. Pit him against the neo-pro Jacques Anquetil, Merckx, Jonas Vingaard, Tadeg Pogacar, etc, with stats!
seems like? Of course it was! Considering the reported 5M yearly he got in the last couple of years, he'd earn those 1k every 2 hours instead of months as in the beginning :) But everybody has to start somewhere and prove their worth I guess and Liquigas were lucky to pick the right guy and give him a chance!
could you pls do a video about what the actual fuck is going on a Israel premier tech?? Im not talking about Froom, we all know what is the case with him. But like Fuglsang, Nizzolo, Woods there is literally no sign of them anywhere in the top 20 of any race?!?!

aging, no longer being in physical peak condition (biologically speaking) and genetics.

so sad he didn't got the right guidance trough his career, we could have seen a lot more from him.
Le champion des champions
1k/month seems like a bargain for Liquigas

You really managed to butcher the name Dukla Trenčín. lol
Oops hahahaha
The music in the background makes it hard to listen to imo.
Sadly but his time has passed, too many other talents coming up,same like all sports ,good while it lasted
Over the years he gained constantly weight...it seems
