The UCI leaving 18 year old Muriel Furrer unconscious (and eventually dying) off the side of the road in the world junior road race competition? On a course that had been widely criticised for being too dangerous. In a race that was run in multiple laps and in which Muriel did not cross the line at the end of the first lap. In a race where all riders were carrying GPS, and in which Muriel’s GPS signal did not move from the moment she crashed. In a competition run by an organisation that has been criticised repeatedly (and increasingly) for dangerous, poorly marshalled, and poorly protected courses. Nothing else mattered in 2024.
I thought the year's biggest controversy was MvdP bunny hopping onto the pavement during the WC and not getting DSQ. And, off the course, Pidcock's 'deselection' for Il Lombardia.
MVDP not getting DQ at erolds even though he endagered spectators? Muriel Furrer? Im normally quite glad for ylur content, but this seems of the marks. Not attacking or questioning the UCI and Selfie Lapertient after those incidents is beyond comprehension for me. Also i think that the guy in CX who stamped on the competitors bike deserve a spot
I think Roglic should have gotten a much harsher penalty for his Vuelta move. If you are going to change bikes you have to accept the consequence of that. You have to get back with your own power or with teammates, not with a team car which negates the bike change. I think the 20 seconds was way too light considering he got all the benefit and almost no negatives of it. Why not just have a pit stop on the road for all riders to change bikes before any difficulty if you're not going to harshly penalize that unsporting behavior
Good video sir :) I think it's mental you can be threatened t OK be disqualified for wearing the wirng colour shirt, what sort of stupid rule is that haha, i see folks sometimes say cycling is its own worst enemy cause of silly things exactly like that, as someone new to cycling that just seems preposterous. Also the idea a car can carry different bikes for the rider to use at different parts of the stage altho I understand completely the reason for that, for me it kind of takes away from the race, choosing a bike that suits your strengths or helps raise some of your weaknesses and having to use same one all the way makes so kuch more sense as a viewer.
2016 Red Hook Crit races - Jeremy Santucci went out in a crash earlier in the race and walking back he smashed his bike onto the ground breaking it in two. I say his, but in actually fact the bike belonged to his best friend Sergio.
So many factors could be blamed for the tour of Basque country crash. Hookless tubeless rims, disc brakes, locking up etc. But we chose to go with Roots. I guess that doesn't upset the sponsors.

Thank you for putting together content! Just joined 🎉
No UCI penalties were presented to "Course Organization Safety" crews.
Thanks again for the content, always excellent
Most ridiculous was the discussion over the colour of bike shorts….Giro. As a commissaire I just don’t get it

Richard Carapaz not going to the Olympics to defend his gold. 🤦♂️
Supertuck workaround is a dropper post?
Mohoric won the 22 Milan San Remo with a dropper post.

Rogla probably didn't even make up the 20 seconds. Probably not the best move, but would have won, never the less. SO...
An unfortunate year for Tarling.
INEOS Grenadiers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dont ride for SD Worx ever simply put that team blows
Getting DQd for riding a bike in a bike lane is hilarious 😂😂😂

Nice compilation, but the inserted clips were unnecessary and distracting.
The old weirdos who enforce rules are out of touch just simply out of touch.
UCI should have been disqualified.
You said nothing of the guy that smashes his bike at the beginning of the video.

thats a clip from like 2017
According to internet rumors, it wasn’t even his bike 😭
@@Djacob_ that’s been verified, he claimed it was already broken in a crash but it definitely didn’t help it
@@isaacrosenthal-cycling amazing friend

Van de Poel didn't get DSQ.
Also why are cyclists so keen to cheat whne there's basiclaly a helicopter ror motorbike filming them the entire timehaha
Roglic should have been disqualified for using the the ridiculous 1x. Tour of the Basque Country probably down to crap disc brakes
