i did all of those steps before even finding your channel. pretty sure i need new ink cartridges again🙄. i even took them out and and covered the cartridge ink heads and put them in a plastic baggy so they wouldn’t dry out or clog up. the hp ink cartridges are such poor quality. once the ink levels go to half full or less and they aren’t used a lot forget it they are pretty much done. i’m gonna have to run the printer once or twice a week from now on so nothing clogs and the ink doesn’t dry out! You have a good channel anyway thank you buddy, i will subscribe✌🏼

I found if you go to printer preferences in the control panel, at the top you will be able to select a printer. Click on that, select the printer you want to use. When you go back to the printer preferences page, you should see 'color mode' under Basics section.

Do you have to have a color ink cartridge in place before you can print only in black? I never use the color cartridge, have installed a new black cartridge and it seems I need to have a color cartridge as well? I really don't want to have to buy a color cartridge just to print in black.

I get the error that my connection is not private when I click on print quality tools, and the only option I can choose is "back to safety," it says that the security certificate is invalid. Therefore, I can never get to the "clean print heads" option. Any workaround for this?

Use the app on your computer/laptop, it worked for me...gotta play around with it a little
