    I’m thinking a lined wool pair is in my future, what about you?

      A wool pair would be awesome!

      Absolutely - just finished my toile and love these trousers although I have a lot of excess material at the back so will adjust. I have some beautiful local lighter weight Harris Tweed and would need to at least half line them but that is next on the list! A really helpful video and wish I had seen it when I spent two evenings trying to work out the pockets!

      @@highlandsewandsew1045 Aw well better late than never! That tweed sounds lovely! I’ve seen lots of good adjustment advice on Instagram if you haven’t found specific help yet! Can’t wait to see the tweed!!!

      I plan on making a pair with light linen or cotton for the summer months.

    When I see a cat lying on your fabric, I subscribe. I love that she sits in your lap. And you're right, it is a sin to wake a sleeping cat!
    As for the actual subject of the video - I love these pants! They look both comfy and fashionable.

    These are so cute!! Added to my sewing list. I've never done darts so that'll be new. I'm frantically sewing to complete all my Christmas gifts. My dog ate the cord to my foot so I'm a week behind while I was waiting for my brother to fix the wires.

    I love the look of these 😍 I have been wanting to sew a pair of comfy elasticated trousers that I actually will look acceptable in outside my home (that being said I live in Alberta so I assume sweat pants all day every day is acceptable 😏), and these might be it!

    • @stephtime
      @stephtime  2 роки тому +2

      Haha these definitely pass the test in that regard! So comfy and cute, though something a bit warmer would suit Alberta! 😂

      @@stephtime totally! Right now I think a nice flannel or lightweight wool would work best 😉

    Amazing, I think I'll make them as well in the future. Would you mind holding the in-between-stages into the camera, to give an impression on how it should look?

    What kind of material did you use for this pair? Just made a linen pair with super lightweight linen, but I want a sort of mid weight fabric and this looks more like that.

      Flannel! They’re so cozy

    What type of elastic did you use? I always have the problem, that the elastic stretches out pretty fast in pants (after one month of often wear). I thought a sturdier elastic band would be better but I don't know what to search for.

    • @stephtime
      @stephtime  2 роки тому

      I used normal braided elastic! It has worked well for me thus far! Though I’ll put some more wear into it and loop back!

      Hey there!! I used a light weight cotton flannel, but wool/linen would work great as well!
