I will never forget that pop when CM Punk came out to “This Fire Burns” for the final time. The crowd chants were so electric and Punk walking out blowing Vince a kiss as he runs out through the Chicago crowd will forever be LEGENDARY
This was the first PPV I've ever watched live. The first time i didnt root for the cleancut baby face. A PERMANENT CORE MEMORY and it high-key changed my life. I saw 2011 punk and my 10 year old self deadass just subconsciously decided "imma be the most chronically yapping hater imaginable when i grow up".
Thanks for sharing that Punk story, that's how I thought he would be with fans (seeing the Cora Jade flashbacks for one). I always think about what I would say to be polite and him coming up to you guys first is wild
Just recently found your channel and can’t get enough of your content, and now you review arguably the most influential ppv for me as a kid super excited for this one and definitely have a new subscriber in me keep up with the great content man!
31:19 I'm glad someone else can appreciate a good pinning animation, because there really is something so satisfying about the way that certain refs count to three (that definitely sounds crazy but it is absolutely true, and it's one reason I don't really like the slow counts, because they just feel much less satisfying, and also make the person look weaker if they can't kick out)
I started watching wrestling in 2011 and MITB was my first PPV I watched, it will always be my favourite PPV to watch and feel so much nostalgia for 🥹 Sometimes it’s best to turn your brain off and forget about all the chaos and negativity of modern wrestling and just remember a time where it felt real and life felt easier…
Of course as a kid I jumped off at the wrong time in late 2010 lol if only I held out until 2011 I think I would have been amazed! And then when I came back to it in 2012 a lot had changed. I probably would not have appreciated it as much not having the knowledge I do now but still 😵💫 These are such easy watches 👏🏼 I support you throwing on a random one you feel like and just going for it
Deonte realized he was a real normal boy when he seen Kelly Kelly’s entrance for the first time in his life lol 😆. We all been there, it was Trish Stratus for me, the arc when she first came out with Test and Albert as their manager. Christ I’m old. What makes WWE so special is that every era is great in its own way, even the worst eras had some really great moments, moments that were memorable and special that people would bring up throughout the passing days. Every wrestler has made WWE memorable and they definitely contributed to the business to the point to where it still is going on to this day, even though they are commentators or backstage presences now, people that are wrestling fans will always remember them and respect them for everything that they did for the business.
First things first, Good video. Money in the Bank 2011 was Legandary, one of the best in WWE History. Second, Since Deonte Double D J predicted a certain Uso to win, NO YEET!!😁🤣😆
The gall of WWE/Vince to think Cena would actually be "fired" lol we were only ~8 months from the last storyline like that Although we did get a preview of 2012 with Laurinaitis interacting with Punk and Cena 😅
Idk if anyone has discussed it but it just popped in my mind how Vince approved Punk winning and how it compares to the Austin rivalry. Punk was the defiant heel while a lot of fans agreed with what he was saying. Maybe he was selfish making the show about his demands + threatening to leave with the title to casuals 🤷🏻♂ But Vince backing Cena somehow didn't make Cena turn either, it was almost like he was needed to protect WWE no matter the circumstance. Then by the time Del Rio won I don't remember Triple H standing by him, it was more about Nash and H screwing Punk over. They didn't have their guy a la Corporate Rock

“You were a champion in my universe mode” is the highest praise you can ever give a superstar shoutout Justin Gabriel fr fr

CM Punk vs Cena is my favourite and in my mind the greatest wrestling match of all time. Cinema

I swear you're talking about the realest shit 31:14 I pay attention to everything as well and the ref animations too. Mike Chioda is my goat lol.
It was the first ppv that I had seen, it was on DVD, so it has a special place in my heart, plus as the first ppv to watch it was excellent.

While 2011 is definitely the greatest MITB ppv of all time, I think 2016 isn’t far behind.
The gall of WWE/Vince to think Cena would actually be "fired" lol we were only ~8 months from the last storyline like that

Shout out to Justin Gabriel my fellow 🇿🇦 bro
Some would call an upload from Deonte… A money in the bank upload… I’ll see myself out, thanks y’all.
Del Rio sucked and so did this era. I feel bad for anyone who grew up watching this era.
Where’s my Michael Cole “who cares “sound bite?
Wait was that Heath Slater in the ladder match
It’s hard to get nostalgic when you keep making modern references and modern slang.
Kelly Kelly not really my thing. But Maryse first thing that comes to my head puppies.
I just saw this ppv. Kelly Kelly vs Brie Bella isn't as bad as everybody says.
Heat
Booker of the year, Booker t
don’t count dunne out yet he still has plenty of time left
Oh dude you gotta see Christians stuff in tna
I don’t care what anyone says Christian deserved a longer reign as champion

NGL Cena vs punk was mid
Fun how Punk has the best and worst MITB moments 13 years apart.
