I got back into watching wrestling this year after a 7-year break. Treated myself to tickets for the first and last main roster PLEs of the year. The Rumble was a blast and, obviously, I still get chills thinking about that magical night in Chicago. Wrestling has undoubtedly become a cherished part of my life once again. What a year.
i started back after a 5-10 year break last year or the year before. and this year and some of last year, Ive felt like a kid again. the roster is at a peak right now, and its been fun watching on and keep up with raw and smackdown. it now feels like a smackdown vs. raw for me. like which show is going to be better this week. very similar to how i felt back in the early 2000s. the only thing, i wish they would introduce mid card womens titles and each show have a pair of tag titles.
I was in the crowd for summerslam and ofc it’s a stadium show and the acoustics plays a factor but the crowd was definitely into most of the matches throughout the night. And most definitely one of the biggest pops of the night came from the Rollins and Balor match at the end, but I think summerslam was fine this year and definitely don’t think it was trash.
With Backlash going to France next year, I think the WWE should make Backlash an international PPV and take the show to outside audiences at least often.
Very true and I honestly think they should do that with other PLEs too. Also Baron Corbin is apparently so over in France that he literally should be on the Backlash ple this year too
@@dillonkimbrell1441 honestly this has already happened with the NXT UK stars and their takeover ppvs and my god was it so over it just reminds you of how Summerslam in England when British Bulldog was over. Hot take: Cody vs brock at summerslam was the best match for me. It was your not so typical wrestling match that was unique and the match had storytelling in it itself. The match doesnt really begin until cody can get into the ring to fight brock which ive never seen in my 10 years of watching wrestling. It was great and the crowd was definitely into it.
Hot take for a reason that match sucked hard the match wasn’t unique it’s similar to the lesnar vs cena extreme rules with lesnar dominating until the end and Cody should’ve been disqualified for the step shot
I thought the story was pretty dumb actually. Brock kept throwing Cody out of the ring doing the whole "I don't wanna do this to you just give up" as if he hasn't been randomly attacking him for months
The funniest thing is we still don't know why Brock attacks Cody to this day and the most memorable thing about their feuds is Brock sausage hanging because of ripped shorts 😂💀
I was sitting front row for Deadline and I also really enjoyed the Iron Survivor matches. Most of the other matches were okay, wasn't big on the Lexis King/Carmello Hayes match tbh. The opening segment with HBK and CM Punk did get me mad hyped though. Wrestlemania Night 1 was my definite favorite PLE for this year
I went to deadline and lemme tell you, the crowd was electric one of the most hype crowds I’ve ever been apart of! Roxanne Perez vs Kiana James was so boring but the rest of the card was insanely good!
Umm... Man, I feel like you still don't understand Jimmy Uso's betrayal. The reason WAS MEANT to be stupid, because it was a lie. Jimmy did it because he was jealous and knew he couldn't do it on his own. That's why he went back to The Bloodline. It's very simple.
During Sami vs Roman at elimination chamber. When these 2 just stared each other for over 8 mins. The crowd never stopped chanting 'Sami' and 'Roman sucks' 'Fu*k u Roman' It wasn't just Montreal, Sami had insane pops at Royal Rumble, Raw, Smackdown, Wm night 1. If Sami would've beaten Roman at wm, the crowd pop would've been insane cuz Sami was the biggest face in all wrestling not just WWE, even when Cody won the rumble.

I was at WrestleMania in person this year and I've been to better house shows with a crowd of 5k people than WrestleMania night 2. Omos matches are throwaway and having omas lose to lesnar took away the possibility of WWE building another monster with Lesnar slowly fading out of the WWE, the 4 way womens tag team match was completely forgettable as in I can't remember a single spot from the match and was filler, the raws womens championship match was totally overshadowed by how good Rhea and charlottes match was night one, The only good match was the IC title match without this there may have been a riot and demands for refunds, At some point the miz had a filler comedy section and shane mcmahon got injured and snoop dogg had to do a sloppy peoples elbow, Finn Balor's match was almost ended prematurely due to the gash in his head and then Finn went on to lose for the 15th time in a row at a PLE or whatever his record was to a guy that wrestled one more match before leaving the WWE, The main event match was great, but having Solo banned from ringside only to return was an objectively dumb finish whether Cody lost or not the ending was written poorly. Immediately after the match no one stuck around and the following night Los Angeles was given the possibly worst raw after mania which really felt like a continuation of WrestleMania night 2.
Agreed Night 2 is not by any means meh it wasn't better than Night 1 but I thought Night 2 was really good. Also yeah people just forget how good the match between Roman and Cody was because of its ending.
How is night 1 of mania better than Night 2, when Night 2 has Gunther vs McIntyre vs Sheamus and also Cody vs Roman which is the most overhated match in mania history
I took a small break from wwe during Covid and I came back this last rumble and this year was fucking crazy but the first thing I realized was Gunther was a absolute super star I hadn’t heard of him before this rumble and I saw him and I realized that he was a monster and beast and an amazing wrestler

sumerslam was my first ever show i went to - when jimmy turned on jey had everyone screaming and shocked. I thought it was an okay show, i just wish Rhea had a match
Semi Left in 20 only watched once every few months after mitb then fully left in 21 then came back for mitb 2023 and was treated to a beautiful main event between the usos and Roman and Solo
Am I the only one who thought summerslam was FIRE? I thought it was better then night of champions. Roman VS. Jey kept me on the edge of my seat. Logan paus VS Ricochet was fire and full of crazy spots. it would go in the great category for me.
Still makes no sense how Night of Champions was meant to end the bloodline with Jimmy kicking Roman. Only for a few month later, Jimmy falls back in with Roman. Just shows the bloodline has run it’s course and should have ended awhile ago.
The bloodline was on life support since 2022 and Sami kept them afloat until WrestleMania 2023. WWE has only become more popular with Reigns showing up less and even skipping PLE's. The fact that the best PLE's this year didn't have Roman on the card at all is proof of his irrelevancy. When he loses the title and moves on to make straight to DVD movies in the Walmart bargain bin outside of the occasional extra for a movie the rock plays in we will truly be in a new golden era of wrestling. Here's to hoping the end of the part time champ Era ends and we can experience the true highs of this new wrestling golden era.
I feel like Jimmy shoulda been alone just like Jey has been alone (if they were gonna turn Jimmy heel). Doesn't make sense for him to fall in line again.

This is why we love santi❤
My fav was backlash cause im from pr and watched it live on stage and it was AMAZING
Seth vs Finn at summerslam to me is one of the best matches of the year
Same and I enjoyed Brock vs Cody too but everything else made it a missed classic
17:00 you've totally proved that Bloodline booking was weird and illogical, because at Night of Champions it was Jimmy who snaped and Superkicked Roman! Not Jey
1. Survivor series
2.Backlash
3. Money in the bank
4. WrestleMania
5. Payback
6. Summerslam
7. Crown Jewel
8. Fastlane
9. Night of Champions
10. Royal Rumble
11. Eliminaton chamber
12. Superstar Spectacle
You should do this for the previous years as well!!
1 day late of day 5 of asking for top 10 WWE x are dream matches. Sorry technical difficulties
sumerslam was my first ever show i went to - when jimmy turned on jey had everyone screaming and shocked. I thought it was an okay show, i just wish Rhea had a match
You should do a video were u take 32 of the best matches of the year in a tournament to decide the best match of the year
Honestly looks like a choose a great year to get back into wrestling
I would count both wrestlemania as one and put it in the HOF plus Bianca vs Asuka wasn't even bad you just exaggerated
Semi Left in 20 only watched once every few months after mitb then fully left in 21 then came back for mitb 2023 and was treated to a beautiful main event between the usos and Roman and Solo
Great video
last 3 people in the rumble will be gunther, cody, and punk. gunther eliminated and then it will between the two men who need to finish their story
I like you brought Nxt this because it’s my favorite show and it’s one of the only ones I can watch with my sports so maybe that’s why I like it
Really put The Money in the bank in Good Category. That was Gold.
NXT is the most consistent brand in wrestling today. I love it so much
Payback was a great show but, like you mentioned, the tag team match should have been the main event.
You should do a video ranking your top 5 personal calendar years in WWE since you’ve been watching @MrSantiZap
Am I the only one who thought summerslam was FIRE? I thought it was better then night of champions. Roman VS. Jey kept me on the edge of my seat. Logan paus VS Ricochet was fire and full of crazy spots. it would go in the great category for me.
I started watching WWE again with the Royal rumble fantastic ppv for me
You should do a series where you go and rank ple's from previous years
Awesome tier list
Doesn't make sense for him to fall in line again.
then again, it's probably because he didn't think he'd make it alive without his family
Bunny vs Priest genuinely was the match of the year
Survivor series was THE event of the year other than wrestlemania. The energy and the vibes were there
