Plant room walkthrough! Spring plant chore planning + mini repot

- It's not a plant tour nor is it a repot & chat....it's.....a.....plant tour-adjacent video and repotting a single (albeit urgently required) repot at the end 🤝
I feel like I blinked and suddenly spring is officially basically tomorrow and I realized that my plant room has become pretty overgrown over the course of this winter so before I start hacking things back and purging plants I thought I'd take you through this room and tell you about some of my hopes and dreams for my collection this season ✨💫
I also have been getting an influx of questions regarding grow light positioning in this room (and my tent in particular) in order to get leaves to face forward, and I go through the lighting setup in this video as well!

Stunning show of anthurium as usual 😍😍 and wendlingeri seeds are tiny, tiny. I have 2 growing and the three leaves on each are maybe the size of a tooth pic. So smol
I love my grow tent. I have a 4ft x 8ft with primarily philos, epis and hoyas in it.
Crazy ! I also have this contaminated Carla X from NSE tropicals and they are so unic ! Also such a great sentence "opening tent is feeling lke a treasure" and i can't agree more !

Hello. Thanks again for a show and tell of your beautiful plants. I typed in Tree Fern Soil in the search area with no luck. Could you point me in the direction of a post that explain what you have in it please
It's a mix of tree fern fiber & potting mix. I believe she said in previous videos that it is roughly 50 / 50 of each.

😮😮😮 what are your pallidiflorims growing in? Mine is new, and is working on its first leaf in my care but the leaves are a bit curled. Underwatered? It’s in a chunky aroid mix with spagnum on top. any suggestions Alice? Also, do you have a Tingo Maria by any chance?
My pallis are either growing in tree fern or tree fern + aroid mix! For me curling leaves on the palli is usually a thirsty plant or loss of roots (when I broke the rootless top of the plant off)
Isn't having seedlings in large pots a risk for root rot? How do you prevent that?

Your plant room is majority Anthuriums now and content too. Seems so many are getting into these plants. Unfortunately i am not a fan. My collection is not aroids just the other types i collect. I tend to collect easy care plants and not much maintenance. Only needs repotting yearly. And watering every 2 - 3 weeks in the growing seasons and winter seasons once a month.
Shame you aren't a fan of Anthuriums. They are a rewarding genus once you get the care right
