!!IMPORTANT!! A viewer contacted me on Instragram to tell me that he had to pay customs fees for the socks (EU) !!! No problem for t-shirts or caps though. Also, TeeSpring changed its privacy policy recently and I no longer have the rights to access the list of customers who have purchased merchandise. So the contest is over :( If you've bought merch, come and tell me on Instagram instagram.com/archimbaud_guitars/ or by email helloedouardarchimbaud@gmail.com I'm really sorry, but you can still buy merch if you like, or the Mariposa plan will remain online on my shop (and I do have access to the data...). Thank you very much for your support, viewing and subscription. Thank you very much and see you soon!
Keep after it man! I started building two years ago and am having a great time! I’ve tried to build the best guitar I could and I’ve also tried build a decent guitar from garbage. I successfully did both! Never give up my man!
i love the ambition and persistence you've got. this guitar looks awesome and i love the idea of changing the tele's design so much while still retaining the core elements - this guitar pretty much fixes all of my personal issues with teles. keep doing what you're doing!
These are very sensible modifications. I look forward to your further work. Some of your innovations, like the belly cut, arm contour, and the wiring addition may be inspired. That's as good as art gets, my friend. Liked and subscribed!
Really excellent video, and a very ambitious project. It was inspiring to see you struggle thru this project and arrive at a final result that made you happy. The guitar sounds awesome, and the song you wrote to demonstrate the sounds was pleasant and well produced. Wonderful work!
Thanks a lot for watching! Have a chance to win a guitar! Simply by buying a merch or the Mariposa guitar plan (links in description). Hope you don't mind my french accent 😄🇫🇷
Edouard, it's a pleasure to see you grow and thrive as a guitar builder, problem solver and a creator: I think the best part of this video was seeing how you made a life decision when the universe also made one for you. Not everyone who loses their employment are able to pull something positive from that experience but you managed to do it and I hope your path forward is full of inspiring guitar builds! BTW, I dig the unicorn vomit pickguard: any consideration for making some for your Reverb store?
Thank you very much, it means a lot. It was a challenging time, to be honest, but I also needed a change. I don't know how far it will go, but I'm trying to see it as an opportunity. Thank you for your comment. And for the pickguards, listen, that's a great suggestion, and I've received some similar feedback like yours on Reddit. I'm thinking of offering them for sale; it could be a good idea. If you're interested, we can discuss it directly. My email is on my channel.
Love your work Edouard. For me, your guitar looks a lot better than the Meteora. You have blended together all the good things that Leo and George gave us with the Tele and Strat. I can see both those guitars in your build. My Custom version of your guitar would add ... middle pickup, five way switch, all black gloss finish with 3 ply black-white-black pickguard, and single piece cream maple neck. And it would be called the TeleStrat. I reckon that if Leo and George had come up with this design back in the 1950s, Fender never would have needed to produce both a Telecaster line and a Stratocaster line. Cheers from the Land Down Under.
Really good job. You're very persistent and the result proves you're right. I hope you'll manage to earn money with this job. I ordered socks to support you (and take my chance to win the guitar ;) )
This is very romantic video, i like the struggle you went through with this project, while most videos show professional polished results this one filled with love discipline and passion, very interesting to watch, btw putting a fly into a gel is a cool idea, i might burry one into my guitar xD
To me, I think most people associate the name with the body shape. like superstrats are nothing like strat in terms of sound and hardware, but still has the name strat attached to it.
For me personally the positioning of the input jack on the front side is not an improvement at all, but quite the opposite. I would rather make two control knobs for volume and tone and the 3-way toggle switch instead of uncomfortable blade switch. The aligment of the bridge pickup is to my opinion also wrong, it makes the treble strings sound more harsh.
That's interesting, I didn't think of that. I personally like the front output because you can play sitting down with the jack not getting in the way. But that's personal taste :)
Salut, je ne pouvais pas t'aider en m'abonnant car je l'étais déjà, du coup je t'ai fait une commande sur ton chop en espérant que d'autres le fassent aussi. Je te souhaite bonne chance pour tout tes futurs projets.
You could do paint jobs for people. On their guitars for a fee, to make some money. I know here in US it’s something that’s in demand. The problem hardly anybody does it locally. You have to send it a painting company. That charges way too much money.
I agree with some of this, but not all: offsets look good, but Telecasters need to look like Telecasters so I'd keep the shape the same. I took a belt sander to mine, to make a forearm contour and belly cut, making it a lot more comfortable. The heel is annoying. My Squier Jim Root Tele has a rounded heel, which is better.
Yeah you're right! You're not the first to tell me that :) To be fair, I totally forgot that this guitar existed when I build it. Happy accident I guess

These kinds of genuine and passionate creators are a breath of fresh air
It’s definitely an upgraded version of the telecaster
It’s so awesome to see an ambitious luthier create a completely new guitar that works great! I love the shape too, great job man!

Regarding your accent, mind it? I love it! Please do blossom and grow in all you are as a human being, musician, luthier and all.

Really cool, I only question the backplate to bolt on the neck, it's kind of strange, but the guitar looks amazing!!

Yeah you're probably right, but the Telecaster is special because we often hear “the Telecaster sound”, which comes mainly from its pickups
bonjour its the french guitar guy doing great things every video...
Thanks a lot!
Hey bud, I just subscribed because I really hope your adventure goes well and you sell a lot of beautiful guitars 😊 cheers from Italy
Thanks a lot! 🙂
the switch is in the way, needs to be re-positioned (on the next guitar of course)
Yep, you're right. Someone on reddit told me that it's like a strat knob. It's not as bad as a strat, but definitely something I have to reconsider 🙂
Subscribing and wishing you good luck from Brazil, Edouard.

Thanks man! That very nice
it kinda reminds me of the fender paranormal series meteora/telecaster

subscribed and you have made a cool guitar bro

I don't mean to be a jerk but doesn't it look a lot like Fender's Meteora?

Do you have a link to the string tree?
I just searched for Reverend string tree and I bought on ebay

he made a meteora
Yeah you're right! You're not the first to tell me that :)
To be fair, I totally forgot that this guitar existed when I build it. Happy accident I guess
it's nice, but you didn't improve the Tele. You just used some of the features of a Tele that you like to make a completely different guitar
Fender already made this guitar. Look at the original Fender Meteora.
Someone already told me the same thing, I totally forgot that beast. Too bad Fender doesn't make it anymore!
@@FrenchGuitarGuy Yeah, i still believe they make the HH version though.
Yeah you're right, must be cool to have@@serfillustrated4018
This is not a Telecaster anymore.
Yes that's my conclusion at the end 🙂
Blasphemy! It's not a Telecaster if it doesn't bruise your ribcage!
In all seriousness though, this turned out beautifully. The peach and walnut combo is working on me, and that fretboard inlay is a very nice touch.
Ahah thank you man!
@@FrenchGuitarGuy Thank you for the quality content
