I have a touchscreen model, and was shocked and so thrilled when this actually worked! Life saving tip. Checked the breaker, reset it, checked the cord, all seemed good... Light wouldn't turn on when opening the door, and control panel would do nothing. Performed this reset and had zero expectation it would work on the model we have, but it did! Hope it stays working now. Fingers crossed.

My Samsung dryer Model # DV365ETBGWR/A3 ( 2013 model ) was not getting power to the control panel, nothing happened when I pushed the power button. circuit breaker was OK, dryer receptacle has power (230 V. ) ... was ready to start checking door switches, and power button, decided to check out some you-tube vids for disassembly info and parts, thank the Lord, I found this video by Michael B. I am so #$@&%%#@ mad there is NOTHING in ANY of the repair manuals I found, even the owners manual doesn't give this info. This vid was my New-Year's present .. Thanks for watching & welcome to the DIY Raptor Club. That’s awesome to hear you’re back up and running.
This can happen every now & then. Causes that lead to this are:

Thanks for watching & welcome to the DIY Raptor Club. Any update?
This type of control panel behavior is usually due to the panel itself being in its early stages of failure.
Resetting it once or twice will usually get it back up and running and allow you to perform a full cycle however may require an additional reset or two the next time use machine.
Replacing your control panel may be the best thing to do. 😎👍

Thanks for the update & the next thing most do is go right to replacing the main board located on upper left of machine. Another step to do is inspect control panel internal wiring. Removing the top cover will gain you access to the back of panel where you can inspect panel wiring.
Check for any signs of overheating, melting, corrosion at connection points, or loose or disconnected connection points.

Our dryer comes on just fine, but it makes a really loud sound when I press start like it tries to start but doesn't do anything. Belt has just been replaced, and this reset sadly didn't help. Any advice?

    • @DIYwithMichaelBorders
      @DIYwithMichaelBorders  Рік тому +1

Thanks for watching, welcome to the DIY Raptor channel. Let’s get this figured out Crissa.
Since the belt has been replaced, chances are it’s the motor. Can you be more specific on the sound.
Is it a grinding sound or more like a whistle/screeching sound?
Screeching can be your internal drum rollers. Either way, we have attached a few links below that will help.
      1. Replace dryer motor
      ua-cam.com/video/-Wt3DqC-er4/v-deo.html
      2. Replace dryer rollers

Thanks for watching, any update? With ours, there are two screws that secure the door mount to the washer frame. Removing these two screws will allow you to carefully pull door and mount away from washer.
Next, on the opposite side, you need to remove the door lock mechanism that secures to washer. Swap that part to the opposite side and then secure it to washer.
Finish up by securing door and door mount to side of washer that the door lock mechanism was just removed from.
