Good news, I finally ordered my new pc!! So once it arrives we should see a massive increase in quality, no more speeding up footage to increase framerate!! Hope you enjoy this video, what else can I build out of planks- let's have some suggestions! Also, if you've been code hunting, the final 5 digits of the Poly Bridge 2 steam code is hidden in this video (the other 10 are in the previous two Teardown videos). Good luck, and well earned whoever gets it!
"Not my best bridge" and "Probably not worth it" Matt... It was your first bridge in a game that has 3D physics that wasn't even intended for building bridges. So I think you did a bang up job for your first time! XD
Most people: I'll burn that bridge when I get to it. The Real Civil Engineer: When I get to that bridge I'm gonna blow it up, build a new one, stretch it like a rubber band, THEN burn it.
Oh dang! An engineer gets to learn what it's like to build off of one of their own prints. An experience all engineers of all types could use. Haha. But I love that he managed to bring bridge building into another game. Keeping with the theme and stuff.
Sincerely thank you for showing me this game I needed these laughs Oh and mouse wheel will move the thing you're holding closer and farther, if you didn't know that
@@BiFurDoggy I was so excited when I figured it out. I was trying to set up a ramp on the outside up to the second floor of a building, and it wouldn't reach and I accidentally hit the mouse wheel and it WORKED
Try max length boards for side trusses and truss the top as well for 3D support (its not poly bridge) I would like to see you build a suspension or cable stayed bridge in this game
I bought that awesome game because of you, I dunno about you but I’d instantly trade the pipe bombs for a broom. Too much time clearing debris fields lol. Love the channel
I did the same thing. To start a put a plank on the ground, a long plank on that, then I broke the one on the ground. I took my new long plank and fastened it down to bridge half the gap then connected it to the other side with another plank. After the trusses and three layers of planks for driving on I could drive most of the vehicles across it. The problem is they don't really get good traction or collision with the planks
(21.5) Beautiful bridge, I appreciate the effort put into it for sure. Also, grats on the 100k my man. Glad I could be here from the start. Mad to think that it's only been a couple of months. Anyways, as usual, have a destructively bridgey day, and take care.
"this time I'm not going to be too destructive.." 10 seconds later **Destroys half a bridge twice, sets a truck on fire, and rams a house** Yeah not too destructive
Congrats on the 100K mate! You’re really doing a great job with the videos! You absolutely deserve it😄🙌🏻! The best thing are your reaction, jokes, laugh and the little things like the reoccurring flying D’s! Thanks again for putting in the effort to make this so good. peace love & bridges
This game's physics are so interesting. I wonder if the dev could add more things to support easier building, and maybe if he should/could do something about the plank-stretching.
Imagine if a future GTA game used this kind of destruction but purely for buildings. I'm sure they could make it match the HD models and textures with some trickery and maybe subdivison in places
Pre-build the bridge on one side, but build it up on scaffolding. Then shoot the scaffolding in such a way that it goes rhombus, leaning over the gap. Allow it to slowly fall into place.
7:00 just wanted to make it known that the bridge started to close because while the motors where on there was a force pulling the bridge open but since it hit that mark where it’s considered opened the motors turned off allowing the 2 remaining planks over power the bridge and pull it back down. Which is also the reason it didn’t go back up since the motors where off preventing any way of the bridge opening again
Hi I'm a huge fan from vasque country, I heard that you take suggestions from your viewers, so mine is Tha vizkaya bridge, I live next to it and I really love it, you should give it a try, thanks and have a nice day you r awesome ❤️
Planks are improvised tools, the game tells it, they will hold up and not brake unless massive amount of weight. Putting a plank while standing on top makes it stand, putting one while standing below makes it fall, anything can be built as long as they connect.
It's part of a steam key for Poly Bridge 2 (to get the game for free). The rest of the code is scattered throughout the last two videos and there are four more in this one.
The bridge was worth it, if only because you couldn't be assed to add more trusses to the right side. That bit caught me off guard and left me laughing. Thank you for the 4 am entertainment!
Lay planks along the length of the bridge, spreading the load of the wheels over more of the planks. It's like you've never built a dodgy wooden bridge IRL!
I really think you should try again but use the boats to help build supports under it while you build the bridge, that way you can make it smoother. Also you might need to do some support underneath the middle section.
Teardown before you unlock planks is like Minecraft if you only had access to the left click button. Teardown after you unlock planks is just Minecraft

I mean, we usually do work with contractors on this. But generally we leave it to them to come up with how, and then adjust the design as needed. No point us telling them how to build it as each contractor usually has different specialities or can do certain methods cheaper than others!
@@RealCivilEngineerGaming oh, interesting. That's completely different from what I expected... - makes sense, though... and I guess you are incorporating ways to make it constructible by default anyway...

Pre-build the bridge on one side, but build it up on scaffolding. Then shoot the scaffolding in such a way that it goes rhombus, leaning over the gap. Allow it to slowly fall into place.
Another bridge like this, please! :D
This really shows how you can engineer a bridge but that doesn't mean you know how to build a bridge :)
Maybe build bridge made of other materials like cut containers or pieces of buildings conected together with planks...
7:00 just wanted to make it known that the bridge started to close because while the motors where on there was a force pulling the bridge open but since it hit that mark where it’s considered opened the motors turned off allowing the 2 remaining planks over power the bridge and pull it back down.
