This video is a great example of why we need a remaster of F-Zero X with the Expansion kit and a way to share our custom tracks online that can also be raced on with other players.
kinda weird to say, but just as much as i love how cool these custom tracks are, i really appreciate the artistic touches you utilize too. the crescent moon track that's upside-down but has that big planet in the middle is very evocative. i remember feeling similarly about some of the other tracks you've made in other videos... i think they were star valley and nightside jungle, where you had jumps that looked as though you were going straight towards glowing background structures. super neat and makes viewing these tracks not just fun but rather mesmerizing!
Thanks, happy to see people sharing my love of custom F-Zero X content. As for the way these specific tracks look, they all have the night theme. Gives a distinct feeling to the track and background objects that are meant for a day themed track emits a crazy multicolored glow. You can't go wrong with the night sky palette lmao Also, I made the crescent moon track flat and upside down to give the illusion that you’re in outer space and not above water. The way the glowing planets in the background appear high up in the sky while you’re upside down is definitely neat.
@@DavidZSM yessss exactly. i hope you keep making more tracks -- and more w/ that wonderful night sky palette and weird rainbow buildings :-) so much fun to watch. thanks for all your work.
Yeah, I never really had the motivation to optimise a 25 year old game. A machine with a good body and boost is good enough for me to beat master mode.
Gotta love how the riverly in the Joker Cup was between Captain Falcon and Blood Falcon and Blood Falcon kicked Captain Falcons ass and it wasn't even a Falcon Punch that did it lol
nice to see ppls that dont use advanced technics and still enjoy custom tracks, first half of the tracks is kinda boring tho, but it completely takes off in the 2nd half - nice work.
I can't say for sure since I've never tried them on real hardware. From what I’ve read, the Everdrive can automatically patch any IPS or APS files. The linked file is a BPS file though, so I don’t know if it can work simply by putting it in the SD card. It might be easier to patch the F-Zero X ROM with the linked file yourself, then put the modified ROM on the SD Card.
Hello, this hack is really good! However, the game crashes at the 5th track of the Joker Cup. When I use the Practice mode, the 5th and 6th track of the Joker Cup always crash. I play on real hardware with a Krikzz's Everdrive. Can you fix it?
Good to know. I knew there was a problem with Joker 5 & 6 as the game often fails to load the background details, but I still could run them on emulator. I'll see what I can do about this in the next weeks.
Love when custom tracks are CPU friendly!
are u one of them?
@@ricardofelix7260bro what did he do to you 😂

Someone who uses slider top tier vehicles with top speed settings has an absolute megamind

@@DavidZSM actually true no need to be hardcore and just enjoy the game

I'm the 100th person to like the video!
watching Night Thunder try to race on Jumper settings is pretty painful to watch ngl. great tracks though.
22:04, At least he died a victorious death! LOL
Oh I thought this was a video on the expansion kit
looks great! however, the download link is incomplete
Yeah, I just saw UA-cam has recently blocked non ''verified'' creators from putting external links.
I found a quick fix for now but I'll look into it.
I use an Everdrive X7 on original hardware, do I just download the file and drag it into the ROMs folder on the SD card in order to play these tracks?
