My understanding was the fight was the birth of jeet June do.
actually he was purely wing chun at the time, and realized wing chun was ineffective b/c he was hitting the back of Wong Jack-Man's head and hurting his own fists. So this got him into creating his own combat philosophy (JKD) with its 5 ranges of attack. also he realized the fight took too long, also why he devised JKD.
This guy went toe to toe with Bruce. Linda was 8 months pregnant with Brandon. Rest in peace son and father.
He was fighting wing chin at that time he learned from ip man, he later adopted jeet kun do because of the fight with Wong

I think people's confusion about Bruce is finding the answer to one question: Would he beat any single man on earth?
This question - not the answer - is indicating how great he was.
Bruce Lee was exceptionaly fast with punches and kicks he was very agile and had fast movement, his timing and accuracy were both way beying average men, and he had insane power for his size, and exceptional core strength.
I know on social media and online, everyones a hard man and many believe they could destroy Bruce Lee, thats easy to type or say being as theres no way he could knock on your doir and ask you to prove it, but i wonder if he was still alive and 30 years old, as to how many would take him on in a street fight.
Not many i bet, and even less that would beat him.
If you cant strike your oppenent, you cant beat your oppenent.

As Linda mentioned, the fight between Wong Jackman was a short fight - approximately 3 minutes. Not as lengthy you implied. It was longer than BL anticipated, which did lead Bruce to rethink his tactics.

After the fight, he was dissatisfied with the practical techniques of traditional Wing Chun. He refined his fighting style (Jeet Kune Do), and devised a grip machine to enhance finger strength, enabling him to grasp opponents and prevent escapes. Subsequently, he trained his finger strength to a formidable level (2 finger push up).

Bruce defeated Wong Jack Man convincingly. He was not kicked in the spine as he was in the movie. Wong Jack Man submitted.
It served as a better story than him getting hurt in a back exercise. That’s why Hollywood lied.
If it’s the Reason Wong fought Bruce is true because Bruce was teaching Outsiders , Than Why Wong later teach Outsiders himself???
Wong Jack Man worked the next day at the Jackson Cafe in San Francisco's Chinatown. He worked a full shift, was not injured except for a very small cut above his eye. Bruce Lee did a finger jab at start of fight.

The fight ended in a draw. It was not about teaching non Chinese students. Wong Jack Man before 1964 already was teaching non Chinese students. Wong Jack Man was five foot nine inches tall and weighed only 130 pounds. Bruch was 5 foot 7 1/2 inches tal and weighed 140 pounds.
Very easy simple concept basic logic if life is not free why the hell would death be any cheaper it's not. So the question one may wonder is the spiritual cost to one's own soul and spirit for having lived and died only using the smallest percentage of A fraction of the true potential they were first born with equally as reckless neglectful at the same time to the lowest standards of quality for so many years now global pollution has diminished the quality of life to the point where today's people are living, dying and yielding the worst spiritual kickback that has ever been manifested since the beginning of life only getting worse. The polar opposite extreme to that is today's people should be living and dying to the highest standards of quality which would make each and every moment physically, mentally, financially and spiritually beneficial rewarding constantly consistently S.R.F.
People believe Bruce won that fight but actually he was defeated by the martial art expert. According to one living witness, Wong Jack Man managed to strike the back side of Bruce Lee’s neck which lead to a long term internal brain injury that cost his life years after that.
Then how did he continue his school? Did Michael Jai White come up with that story that Bruce was beat?
That’s a completely false story. Bruce Lee’s only injury came from a back exercise - most likely a deadlift.
@@janyswhite3182 The fight lasted roughly three minutes with victory for Bruce but he got striked at the back of his neck that cause internal injury which cost him his life years later. For Wong he had a happy healthy life and continue teaching till his retirement. Some people believed its the law of karma when Lee cockily challenging Wong Jack Man.

In another video she said the fight took place in a warehouse the fight lasted 15 minutes because Bruce had to chase the challenger around the warehouse.
