Its a shame😖 I run a very similar team ranked, just scarf florges and booster iron moth that got heat wave sludge wave and discharge (M indeedee psychic seed expanding force as a backup sweeper ). Florges not having any redirection is the ONE weakness as I need to switch into indeedee or lead differently to stop fake out
I use Iron Jugulis in my single format ladders for a long while. It's main niche is that the booster energy can make it REALLY fast and can put up taunts like you wouldn't believe. Add that with rain from a Thunderus and you got 100% accurate hurricanes. Mine also doubles as electric bait/ an answer to steel/ rock types if I go tera ground. This could bring Jugulis into a niche double team since it finally has a way to boost himself. The only people who ever say that Jugulis is a worse Hydregion, are those who never use one to all it's strengths. (That speed is the biggest one over the Hydra.)

I was playing with this team with casual battles (I don't play competitive) and in the first battle Iron Jugulis survived a hydro pump from a tera water shell smash blastoise on SEVEN hp, and knocked it out straight after (both our last Pokémon) the Iron Jugulis clutch is real
I actually utilized a Florges with Symbiosis along with Iron Leaves in an online battle and actually won, since I thought of Paradox Pokémon + Symbiosis before, and I think I could do it with other Pokémon too, like giving my Florges a Loaded Dice and pairing it with Iron Thorns for 4-5 hit Rock Blasts and Pin Missiles
Very cool. Love your videos for off-meta (and often anti-meta) teams. One thing worth noting - your team as described in the pokepaste is impossible. Iron Crown, Iron Boulder, Gouging Fire and Raging Bolt are are hard locked to 20 IVs across the board, unlike Walking Wake/Iron Leaves.
My Iron Jugulis Ev spread idea is 80 Hp, 8 Def, 180 SpAtk, 60 SpDef, 180 Spe with a Timid nature. This stat spread looks very balanced on Pokémon Showdown.

Oh yeah. I used a doubles vgc team with Pure Power LO Haxorus once. Basically, the idea went like this: I lead with the Haxorus and Scarf Medicham(to outspeed it), Skill Swap the Pure Power to Haxorus, and just wreak havoc on opposing teams. With both Life Orb and Pure Power in mind, Haxorus's damage output went insanely high. It just felt extremely satisfying for me to use it 😁.
I love how your team has like 3 gears depending on matchup, just great team building. Im trying to improve on building teams lately and its hard. Specially for vgc
Yeah I used to tunnel on one strategy and try to force it to work, but I've learned that it's super satisfying to build a team with different modes that all support each other

Here's what's Symbiosis real potential is: 252+ Atk Haxorus with Weakness Policy, Terra Ground Earthquake, and 252+ Spe Florges with Choice Scarf Trailblaze. Symbiosis activates after WP and gets Haxorus into top Speed territory. Ofc it KOs the Florges but Haxorus runs Rock Slide as an option to hit Flying types. You can then bring Costar Flamigo with Quick Guard to block priority, or even Tailwind Murkrow or Talonflame :) For me the rest of the team is Scarf Icy Wind Tornadus-T or Scarf Electroweb Thundurus-T, and then Iron Boulder with Booster Energy Attack to pair as an option with Symbiosis Florges. Yes I play UU on Showdown. Yes I playtested this way too much. Thanks for reading!
Very cool! I think petal blizzard could also be an option over trailblaze on florges since it still works even if the opponent uses follow me and you get a bit of chip on the opponents too to break sashes. But the speed boost on trailblaze can be helpful too

Out of curiosity, I wanted to ask how long on average does it take you to put a new team together? with or without planning / testing, mostly the in-game training is what I'm curious about. I've found the lack of EV-lowering berries or an EV-resetter like in the Isle of Armor (unless there IS something like that in the new DLC? I haven't gotten to it yet) makes it feel a lot more of a hassle than I remember it being in Gen 8 but I'm curious to know how it is for you.
Idk a few days? I've accumulated quite a few EV lowering berries and reset mochi from teal mask. But I do enjoy the process of creating teams and I've got into hunting mons with marks too which takes longer

I actually used a support set with dragon cheer booster energy to set up a razor claw spamming draco meteor walking wake. I want the dragon cheer patch sooner

Little question with this set could you pass another booster energy so it can double speed boost or will it not work because if it does then you can invest more into its other stats whilst still out speeding Urshifu

Basically it just sounded like repeated clicking at one point and I was super confused cause I thought it was coming from inside my house and it sounded like the ignition on my stove trying again and again to light the gas.
The most common incineroar spread always survives +1 meteor beam even without assault vest. Even with max investment in special attack, a timid iron jugulis only has around 60% chance to ohko. You're better off using glimmora tbh.
Yeah I do like glimmora especially as it gets the KO without helping hand but jugulis is just very fun for closed teamsheet formats. Meteor beam is wayyy less telegraphed on jugulis compared to glimmora and helping hand secures the KO as you saw in the vid. Plus jugulis fits the team better for dark STAB into psychic types otherwise the psyspam will struggle with that.

I know meowscarada is better than grass ogrepon but that first battle is a good argument for it unless the rain boost was absolutely needed for that KO. I don't know the calcs of that interaction as well as I should.
This makes me wanna try power herb Archeludon and an oraguru with symbios, trick room. I wont need rain set up, and i get a free damage boost. I already run one with terra stellar but i went with assault vest and honestly i think id prefer the orb so i can fit protect But speed iron crown is definitely where its at
It's a little fast but with 0IVs and a Brave nature it is slower than most mons on non trick room teams. And if you're against opposing trick room just focus on damage rather than setting up trick room
Your team comps are always a delight. Even if Iron Jugulis is the worst paradox mon by far, it's nice to see people make good use of it. The other team members here were great as well like Florges, Iron Crown, and Gallade.
They all have an important role on this team. Idk if I agree that jugulis is the worst paradox mon though, I think iron thorns is super hard to justify on a VGC team... Which makes me want to use it more lol
Yeah! He played really well and I super over predicted. There were a couple of turns where I could have switched in Indeedee to get a terrain boosted expanding force into raging bolt which would have almost OHKOd but I kept predicting burm to switch into rilla on the same turn... I still got the meteor beam incin KO though 😁

Yeah for sure! Oranguru is generally a better utility Pokémon but since I already had 4 psychic types, Florges was way better for type synergy 😁

Don't forget inner focus to negate fake out, so with mental herb it always manages to set up trick room turn 1

Oh that's probably showdown auto 0ing unused stat IVs and stating that it is valid for the format... Definitely should be 20 IV for attack in game

Your team comps are always a delight. Even if Iron Jugulis is the worst paradox mon by far, it's nice to see people make good use of it. The other team members here were great as well like Florges, Iron Crown, and Gallade.
They all have an important role on this team. Idk if I agree that jugulis is the worst paradox mon though, I think iron thorns is super hard to justify on a VGC team... Which makes me want to use it more lol

Yeah! He played really well and I super over predicted. There were a couple of turns where I could have switched in Indeedee to get a terrain boosted expanding force into raging bolt which would have almost OHKOd but I kept predicting burm to switch into rilla on the same turn... I still got the meteor beam incin KO though 😁
