    Thanks so much for this video!! I made this frosting a few days ago. It is absolutely delicious!! My favorite frosting has been Swiss Meringue Buttercream but this one is so much easier and tastes just as good! I used frozen strawberries instead of raspberries. My family raved about it. Anyone watching should give this a try.
    Could you possibly do a condensed milk frosting using frozen mango?

I used 2 sticks of butter with 1/2 cup of vegetable shortening and it was perfectly balanced. I also couldn't figure the 500grams of raspberries......I used 2 cups of frozen raspberries and it turned out beautifully. Thank you so much for sharing this. It made a luscious filling for my cake.

    This looks amazing, you just got yourself a new subscriber! I just wanted to ask you a few questions please. Is this amount enough to fill, crumb coat, and frost a three-layer 8-inch (20 cm) cake, or should I make 2 batches? Also, I want to add raspberry liqueur to the frosting, should I do it when the raspberries are cooking or can I add it to the frosting? I’m afraid to add it to the frosting and disrupt the consistency, that’s why I’m asking. Also, does this frosting set as firmly as you condensed milk white chocolate buttercream or is softer? One last thing, could I make the cake 2-3 days ahead and leave it in the freezer or should I just bake the cakes and prepare the frosting ahead and then assemble it on the day I plan to serve it? I apologize for so many questions, but I got so excited when I saw this recipe because I can’t stand the taste of plain buttercream frosting, and this is perfect! I CANNOT WAIT to make this! I look forward to your reply!

    • @CupcakeSavvysKitchen
      @CupcakeSavvysKitchen  4 роки тому

      Two batches is better. Add the liqueur when you take the raspberries off the heat. You can do it all ahead. Bake decorate and refrigerate 2-3 days ahead and keep in the refrigerator. As long as it’s not a very hot/humid climate stability is not a problem. Good luck!

    Are these type of buttercreams sensitive to heat? Do they melt in humidity?

      @CupcakeSavvysKitchen  6 років тому +2

      They will soften. You can switch out some of the buttercream with shortening to help stabilize them if you like.

      Not very long in hot/warm weather because of the milk content.

      Umairah Diyanah yes, I have tried to be specific about timing in the video. At each stage, mix till just incorporated/blended and it will be fine with no risk of overbearing or splitting.

    I'm a bit confused. I just watched your video on how to make the pumpkin spice version. In that video it says to use a can of sweetened condensed milk at room temp but this one says to use it cold. Is there a reason why one should be cold vs the other room temp? Another video I saw from another tuber who makes these frosting says to use cold. Both of your techniques are the same so... ???

    • @CupcakeSavvysKitchen
      @CupcakeSavvysKitchen  4 роки тому +2

      GREAT question! I use both ways in my video because it can be successful both ways! If you want more of a concrete guide, then I use it chilled if it's a hot day and I use it room temperature if its a cold day. Hopefully that helps :-)
