1 Can (400g) Sweetened Condensed Milk - room temp
100-200g Melted White Chocolate (I used 200g) - use when warm not hot!

I made this a few days ago, it was REALLY hot here so it came out liquid. A few hours in the fridge and it turned out amazing. Few more hours and it really set and never lost shape. Amazing, thank you so much for sharing

I've tried your dulce de leche CMB and i absolutely loved it. Now i want to give this one a try with russian piping tips but i was wondering if using water based powdered food coloring will change tge conistency since it has white chocolate in it or if the fat from the butter will prevent it from happening?

This is way too soft to use with Russian piping tips
i tried this buttercream but i did it without the white chocolate and used vanilla and i couldnt afford the unsalted butter so i used margarine instead it tasted like butterscotch and i didnt get the smooth consistency like urs in the video but it taste good to me and my friends who tried my cake.

hey these reciepes are top class. i just tried the chocolate version and it is stunning.. I only increased the ammount of chocolate to hide the taste of butter and its absolutly fantastic.... also i used this recipe for a ganache and came perfect...

Hi there, i used this recipe for my unicorn cake and it came out perfect! Its summer here in South Africa so its extremely hot but kept the buttercream covered cake in the fridge, only removing when i needed to decorate and only removed it completely once the customer collected, with instructions to put the AC on in the car and immediately in the fridge when they get home :) lovely recipe

One week in fridge. 2 months in freezer. It should not be kept out in warm weather because of the milk content.

Yes you can. I would only leave it out in very cool weather because of food safety concerns with the Milk content and even then I wouldn't leave it out for more than 1-2 hours.

No, just pipe straight after making it then refrigerate the cupcakes after you have piped them.

I don't think it's as sweet ;-)
How well does it hold up in warmer temperatures or in large layer cakes?
It will soften in hot/warm weather like any frosting containing butter. You can swap out half the butter for shortening but please keep in mind food safety...I would not keep this out in hot weather because of the milk content.
