what is the thread of the rear brake mounting in the frame? Do you use M6 or M5 bolts? I just have a copy of this frame from Aliexpress, M5 bolts are used here, which is not standard for attaching the brake
To get hands on this bike would definitely change much for me. Back in 2020 I gave up mountain biking because I couldn’t afford it anymore and over the last 3 years the prices have increased extremely. I loved to ride cross country, feeling the wind, be fast on the descend and climbing uphill. I really would be unbelievable happy If I could experience that again.

@@GeeMilner for me there is no favorite Part. Its the complete progress. How every Single Part fits to another. By this Build here i loved the handlebar section. Because its not that typical on these Kind of bikes normaly. And the handlebar it self looks amazing and fits perfect the rest of the bike in my opinion

Hey Larry, thanks for watching. I can appreciate the aesthetic nature of a clean bike with minimal cables but from an installation point of view, it's no where near as straight forward as the 'old' way of routing cables. I think a lot of brands have rushed into integration because they're worried about seeming behind their competition and they've not spent as much time building the bikes they design to realise that there are issues with what their design team has created on a computer modelling program. But in all fairness to Scott, they were one of the early adopters of integration and whilst it is still more difficult to assemble than previous models, they're a lot easier than other brands.

The only part of the thru-axle you need to grease is the threads. The wheel rotates about the bearings which interact with the hub axle. There is no movement between the thru-axle and the hub axle.
If you don't remove your wheel often and ride in wet conditions you'll end up having your axle rust and become seized in the hub. You need to grease the entire axle to prevent this.
Why you put the grease on the seatpost and not inside of the seattube? Thats not professionell in my eyes,sry. And no grease on steertube to press the crownrace ring on. Cant believe how many watch videos like this and stunning just bcs someone build a ordinary bike. Did u get payed from scott😂

You not only grease parts in movement but every contact point when you assemble parts.
We find it good practise to grease the whole axle, you'd be surprised how many old axles show signs of contact along the whole length.
