Yup sometimes I get like 1 to 2 bumps per side.

I use my 12" square and square up the four corners first before trimming the sides. I've taught many members in my club this technique.
That's why I showed that too. I just go for it with a straight ruler normally cause I make huge quilts and it's faster 😆
