After playing elden ring and being disappointed with how it turned out.. makes me appreciate all the other souls games even more now. Bloodbourne still holds the title for greatest souls game ever in my books, NOT elden ring. The magic and charm of Bloodbourne honestly cannot be ignored. 10/10
I'm personally torn between dark douls 3 and bloodborne. But I also felt a little underwhelmed when playing elden ring. I can see the problems in the gameplay and name some of them, but I can't bring my head around to specify why the world and the story feel kinda off compared to other souls games.
They feel off because George Martin wrote the lore and story. The mystery in bb feels natural and it belongs there and slowly you’re gaining more insight into the true horrors of this world and you can kind of understand what you do and why. Elden ring tried to capture that mystery but it just can’t manage to uphold it cause in bb only a select few characters know what’s really going on and they won’t tell you. You gotta find out by yourself. In Elden ring everyone seems to know but you. In Bloodborne you’re the “detective” who’s uncovering those secrets and mysteries and who’s putting an end to those horrible things happening. in elden ring you’re just the idiotic outsider who eventually will become the new elden lord without even knowing a thing about the lands between.
@@erynja7085 Oh I wasn't meaning the story..lol if anything the story of elden ring is ripped off of dark souls, George Martin is a hack. I was meaning the dog shit bosses in elden ring are horrible
@@bobbylong5664 yes they are. Only boss I enjoyed was malenia but she’s literally a worse copy of lady Maria. I mean that fight is just such a great dance between two equals it’s amazing
I mean I had issues with Elden Ring but it's not that bad. It's better than DS2 imo and amazing for an Open world experience. And personally liked it over DS3( minus the dlcs)
I love the horror aspect of Bloodborne. It’s not just a game where you kill beasts, it has a story. The English accents, the tone of the characters, the eldritch beasts. If Elden Ring was Breaking Bad, Bloodborne would be Better Call Saul
In my opinion: Ludwig is, without a doubt, the BEST Bloodborne boss. He kicked my ass multiple times; not because of any cheap mechanics, but because I genuinely felt that he was a much better Hunter than I. When I finally beat him, I felt like I just accomplished something huge. I would put Ludwig's fight on-par with Ornstein and Smough from Dark Souls 1. Side note: I LOVE how you played the Interstellar theme when you told Ludwig his Hunters are doing well.
Excellent video. I agree with every aspect. Certainly was the most memorable fight that I have experienced in the series(my experiece was Nioh, Elden Ring, BloodBorne). 11/10.
One cool thing about this boss is also how both phases use the same model, it would have been easier to make two similar looking ones, but From went the extra mile here Upea video
Technically it's a different model that gets loaded in when the cutscene plays, as the animations are completely different. But yeah Ludwig looks the same in phase is ehat you probably meant and yeah that's true. Also thank u for the complement!
This truly is my favourite fight it is so cinematic I have not lost to him once even on my first play through and it was mesmerising I’m truly grateful to have EYES to see it
So...this was my game, for many years...this video is very late to the game, so to speak, but...Ludwig isn't as hard as you make him. In fact, the level. itself, shows you how to fight him, leading up to it. You are right in that it's the 'best' boss fight out of every From Software game, despite not knowing how to fight him. He's 'supposed' to be fought with the Whirligig. It's why you find it in that level, leading up to him. That weapon will kill him so fast, you don't see many of the moves he has in either phase. Add fire with a strength build and Ludwig is a goner. So much so, some people, a long time ago, said he was one of the 'weaker' bosses in the game for that reason. Same thing with Maria, as she can be parried every swing of her sword, so she's a cake walk if you know how to fight her. Cinematically, yes, Ludwig is the best boss battle From Software came up with. He's got some form of 'lore' associated with him, but nothing really makes any sense in these games, so that's not really saying much. He's just a monster with a sword, but he's the best one, for sure. Nice vid.
Concidering the difficulty, I'm only speaking from experience. Someone like maria is a very easy boss for me, but I just happen to struggle with Ludwig everytime
@@babo5005 I'm the same way. Maria and Orphan were way easier while Ludwig still claps me everytime I do a new run. It just suits my playstyle differently.

A great homage to Ludwig, my favourite old hunter!

Not to mention the build up to the build up to his fight... We hunters worshiped you.. Oh how far him and his horse has fallen.

id say orphan would fit this title better imo but ludwig is a good pick too
My first time beating ludwig was gattling gun only and holy shit. It took like more than one week for me.
Awesome editing. Thx for the vid.
Thank u so much!
Finally an opinion on Ludwig I can agree with
I hadnt play Bloodbprne yet and Ludwig is already my favourite boss from the game! 😎

orphan of kos is harder imo
I've heard many say that, but personally it took me only 2 tries to beat kos on my first playtrough and like I said on the video, over 30 for Ludwig
Nah, Orphan is parryable and not dashing as bad or doing that flying body splash shit 😅
@@dezpotizmOFheaven everyone struggles with different bosses...but yeah parrying kos makes it easier, as it does for every boss that is parryable
I didn't mind Elden Ring, but it's not for me. Bloodborne is better in everyway in my opinion. Elden Ring is still great but BB trumps it.
