If you want the ambient lighting, you need to get what's called the Interior Lighting Kit. It's an option for about $450 - but it's supposed to be excellent. Mine is on order - just bought the 2023 Sorento SX Prestige AWD and the dealer has virtually zero inventory on the options. The options are coming from Korea and I've been waiting 3 weeks now.
I purchased one of these last November a 2023 SX Prestige in sapphire blue it’s a gorgeous and comfortable car to drive and seeing isn’t a problem with its lights and visibility and the blind spot cameras are a life saver on the interstate
Kia stepped up their game in every way. I've got a 2020 Stinger GT and this exact Sorento and love them both. The Stinger is a bottom 11 sec quarter mile with the bolt ons and tuning.
I just did a test drive of the Gt line-disesel, yesterday. What i observed: -Looks even better than in pics and videos, although the side view looks plain but it suits the overall muscular look. -Interior was very porsche and very high end. Infotainment was very smooth and high resolution. Only thing i didnt like were the air vents, not my taste but wife loved it. If this had the interior of the new 2022 tucson it would have been perfect. My other small issue was the driver display, the blindspot monitor in the display was small and most times unusable, check this if you have impaired vision. - The drive was almost perfect, the car had an intense acceleration. The diesel engine sounded mean and muscular. Very quiet inside the car, can only hear the engine at high revs. You feel the small bumps slightly because of those 20 inch alloys but on bigger bumps i felt nothing. 0-100 kmph was like 7 seconds. Car was giving 7-8 l per 100km mileage. Also, the car is ridiculously good on corners. This is my balanced view,i loved the car, its a percect family car. I will be buying the GT line diesel next month.
please do more night review, I really enjoy seeing car at night, to see how the light look like, how good is the light. most of other reviewer just dont do it.
Stay away from the 2021 Kia Sorento SX X-Line Prestige AWD. I had mine for 6 months. Walked outside one morning, cranked my truck up, put it in drive, and it wouldn't move. Long story short, it's been in the shop at the Kia dealership for over a month. It took them 2 weeks to diagnose, to figure out that my transmission went out. Then when they finally got another transmission in, they said it was the wrong transmission and it didn't work. From reading other reviews, it looks like only the SX trims on the Sorento are having transmission problems, so hold off on buying this truck. Let them iron the kinks out first. Beautiful truck, but seems like they just threw this truck together real quick.
How did you get the apple play to be full screen? I looked it up and it said to turn off the “split screen” but mine doesnt have the option, i have a 2021 SX Prestige as well
Ok i really think this is a good lookin Suv and the tail lights dont look bad to me however it reminds me of the Griswalds cruiser in national lampoons vacation where they intentionally made the car look as hideous as possible.
Why does the Kia Sorento US version have two chairs second row. And not a three person space/sofa/bench? Only 6 people can fit in this car not 7. And if you dont use the narrow middle seat in the sofa just put down the arm rest thing in the middle. And two people can sit comfortable. Is this a US thing? People are wider and need proper seats second row? 😅
Well I am sorry, but I am very disappointed - way way not enough reviewing of the configuration of the front lights - there are 3 areas within the main headlights - what is the function of each of them? or are they all on at all times? The foglamps looked more involved, are they? I remain disappointed.
Actually it would have been smarter for KIA to at least put turn signals on the bumper compared to what they did here, that being using red turn signals. Red turn lights should not be a thing anymore. They should all be amber as required in Europe
What do you think of this new Sorento at night? Here's the full review with more details: ua-cam.com/video/YXIMIQNrju8/v-deo.html
Glad to see a night review especially for us night drivers. Looking to get the Sorento. +1
I really do like this Sorento. The color is fantastic. Thank you Nolan.
Me too and i like the color too! Thanks Key!

how did the Sorento go from a minivan looking car in 2020 to this badass looking SUV in 2021?! It looks great!

That paint color is incredible.
AGREE. Just bought this exact one as a certified pre owned. Very nice.

I am a light fanatic
Thank you, will do!
Love the Night Review!!! Perfect information content.
If possible, a video showing the performance of the LED projector vs LED reflectors would be awesome.
If I could ever get both of them to show, I definitely will!
I been waiting for this review. Keep it up. Please review the Genesis Gv80
Glad to hear it! I'd love to and hopefully I can get my hands on one soon!
I have this EXACT one and love it.

Thanks so much!
I like this one .......
Verry good balanced head
light system .......

Can you check if there’s a button near one of the cup holders in the front, it should activate ambient lighting, my base model has it.
PLEASE do 2022 KIA TELLURIDE SX NIGHTFALL too, Please 🙏🏻
I've got the 2021 regular SX if you wanna see it here: ua-cam.com/video/bMioWHCNcls/v-deo.html

Dang I'm sorry to hear about that!
@@PrimeAutotainment It's okay man. I'm just waiting now for Kia to complete the repurchasing of my truck. I appreciate you.
It's not a truck
@@williambrennan7794 it is annoying when people call an SUV a truck 😂
U just got a lemon, happens with every brand.
2:52 how come?! Our 2014 sorento has that (rear ambient lights) it's not fully loaded either
Aruba green 😍😍
No multi-color ambient lighting?
I really like this video
Can you do a review of the GV70 sport prestige at night?
That's where all suv's should have cargo light located.
How did you get the apple play to be full screen? I looked it up and it said to turn off the “split screen” but mine doesnt have the option, i have a 2021 SX Prestige as well
Does the x-line sx prestige have a heads up display?
I wish it had ambient lighting
Awesome
U can change the display lol just purchased mine tonight

Even though both are LED, the reflector LEDs are rated worst possible score of "poor" by the IIHS. The projector LED get the highest score of "Good".
Yeah it’s a shame the reflectors are so bad. The distance is horrible

Those down low reverse lights look dumb
