Must be SO fun for both of you when you hook Jocelyn's drawings! Framing them in the vintage wooden mantelpieces is BRILLIANT! This video inspires me to create more DRAWINGS that could be hooked... Jocelyn's a tough act to follow, but I'll give it a go! THANX, Deana!!! xxx
That makes me really happy Meg that's why I do these videos so I'm really glad I have been knowing that you're getting something out of them and having fun
I take it to staples if you have one. I also have an old school overhead projector I bought for a song off Facebook marketplace. I used that in the months everything was closed.
I use a rug hooking frame. But sometimes I use a quilters hoop which is two- tiered. You can use a hoop to start off and see if you like it. Some people stick with the hoop always... it's a preference thing for sure. But with hooking your pulling upwards so you have to be able to lean your hoop down and resist the upward pull. Feel free to write again if that was confusing!
I use the thin tracing/drawing paper you can get on big rolls on anazon. You can iron them, draw, trace, and they're very cheap. Anything will work though. I have no fancy supplies to my name!
What a fun Mom you are. When Jocelyn is a little older she may need to share studio space. Clear easy directions packed with good tips. Thank you.
Thank for the tutorial of how to transfer pattern to paper. Love it!!! Looks EASY!!!

Thank you for sharing!!! I love the idea of using netting.
Love your ideas thank you for all the tips!
Thanks for sharing 😊💕👋
where do i go to print one of my patterns on linen multiple times to sell
Your videos are so helpful! What backing fabric would you recommend for a large rug?
I usually do monk's cloth. Linen is great but just a bit more expensive and will have same properties as a large rug
For non-artists, how do you make the design bigger to fit your frame?

Great tutorial! What did you hook that small face on? Your piece of linen looks too small to fit on a frame. Just curious, thanks.
I think I did burlap, which I rarely do, but I know it's a tiny decorative piece that won't get wet
Do you use a small hoop to hold your piece for hooking

You said, "micro manage" like it's a bad thing. 😄😄
Are you using thin tracing paper

Thank you for responding so quickly. I enjoyed your presentation. Very informative.
Have you tried white landscape or blanket plant cover for transferring? Ink goes right thru it quickly.
