These small mats are such TREASURES!... Each 'n every one of them! Whatta VAST IMAGINATION you have, Deana! Btw, those glasses are SO YOU!!! Love them 'n LOVE U!!! THANX, Deana!!! xxx
You are an AMAZING teacher ! I learned as a child in the 60s and play around with it every 10-15 years or so in a colonial or primitive style. I just inherited 7 large bins of beautiful wool in every color , and a large frame. I think I have enough wool to last me until I’m 120! So excited to find Rug Hooking is alive and well, and quite modern too!
👏👏👏 I loved this video! It was so informative for me. My mother was an amazing rug hooker and since her passing I have taken up the craft. I am trying to finish some of the rugs she started and have been having difficulty understanding the directions and getting them to look "right", this will help so much. I have watched quite a few videos trying get tips and tricks for rug hooking and I find your videos the easiest to understand and relate to, and the running comment this video had me laughing out loud. Cheers!
Oh that is so nice to hear. Make sure you let me know if you get stuck. Nothing's magic - it's just aggravating at times. Join the facebook group if you're on --- Rug Hooking & Punch Needle Club. I'm on always, and there's 8K more people who are so nice and eager to help. Glad I got you laughing xx
Really informative. I haven't tried rug hooking yet but I use your tips with needle punch, which I'm new to. I learned the hard way that cotton yarn is not your friend for crafts like these. 😪
You mention dying silk neck ties for hooking .... could you briefly explain that technique as I have a huge collection of ties . Would love to use them ! Thank you
Thank you! I misspoke a little there, I used wool I dyed with silk ties, and the technique I used for that I explained in this video: ua-cam.com/video/dJXE8tFn4FM/v-deo.html . I have a huge collection of ties too and I love finding ways to use them in projects: quilts, rug-hooking, wool dying and more!
@@lilykrzyzanowski7312 we have finally put our web-shop up and the Halloween patterns are all there: www.ribboncandyhooking.com/ don't hesitate to ask me about creating a kit for any of these patterns.
