It kinda feels lame to see a major character just fall over ingame like any other enemy AI imo. edit: I don't really want a boss battle or for Atriox to die personally. I just wanted to clarify.
I don't want us to kill off atriox. He's a good enough enemy for the next games coming out. If there is a boss battle it should be against one of the generals
Imagine a cutscene of the Arbiter and the Swords of Sanghelios facing off against Atriox and the Banished. Swords and hammers clashing would be such a mesmerizing setpiece
And a boss battle where you play as Arbiter against Atriox. The epic duel between the leaders of the Elite-led Swords of Sanghellios, and the Brute-led Banished. I so want this to happen in Infinite! 👌
I actually like how the Banished hold themselves together. They don’t force races into it, they don’t have the prophet’s lies or ONI’s manipulation, they just do what they do for their leader, and their survival.
The Banished are the very definition of the exiles taking over. A once seemingly powerless faction ended defeat the UNSC in such a short time that took the Covenant years to beat. It is one for an Empire to rise, but the most dangerous factions destroy those said empires. The Banished didn’t just outlived the Covenant, they surpassed it.
S B well some higher members of the covenants actually started respecting the grunts after their rebellion, didn’t change much but, hey, at least it’s something
He actually made it work. Of course, the Grunts can be defeated by throwing a bunch of legos on the floor, while Atriox actually put on some real armor. And shoes.

Guess red team runs through the portal to see what is going on in the installation to find blue team and get them sent to the ark in an emergency to contain the flood outbreak on the ark.
Yeah the grunts really have it rough. First they ruin their planet with climate change, then the Halos are fired, and they have to start over. Then they're enslaved by The Covenant, then even though The Covenant falls, they're enslaved by covenant remnants, including the Banished, which by nature is more brutal. (Spoiler) And now they work for The Created, which at least is sort of by choice. They couldn't refuse it, but at least they knowingly embraced it.
I feel like the Banished and specifically Atriox has made us start to admire and even love Brutes way more than we did before.... Which is why Arby is so desperately needed in Infinite, the OG Elites need to be remembered and loved again too!

As far as I’m concerned, he’s dead(yes, he, he is confirmed in canon to be male). While we never see a decisive hit on him to kill him, the fact that he was swarmed and that the planet was undergoing the glassing process, leads to him dying. There is no way 6 is alive. Would I want it? No. He died the most perfect way he could, a Lone Wolf died a lone wolf
Ok, I never played Halo wars 2 but, I still believe that if the spirit of fire crew tried to negotiate with the banished, they could have been amongst humanities strongest allies that would definitely been needed against Cortana and her fleet of Guardians and (maybe) the return of the flood from outside our galaxy
Here’s how I think the Banished arrived in Reach: Anders was on the ring that was found close to Reach. Even though Anders threw most of the banished forces on the ring, there was still enough troops to establish a base and build vehicles and weapons. So after they gained enough troops they took hold of the ring and somehow found there way to Reach. Idk that’s just my theory.
I think we're going to see the silent shadow in Halo infinite. A cool boss battle to test their metal.... and Chief hasn't had a worthy opponent for many years
What is cool about Banished is you playing those guys struggling against The Flood in Halo Wars 2 but later you must fight them as the enemies in Halo Infinite.
Atriox is just the brute anti-arbiter. Sent on suicide missions, always returning, his faith eventually dwindles and he splinters of to create his own faction. The main difference being the banished are villains and the swords of sanghelios are allies.
We watched as 3 of the most skilled warriors ever produced by Humanity were absolutely destroyed by Atriox, I can't wait to see how the Chief fairs against Atriox and the Banished.
I think what I love about Atriox is that he is actually a compelling protagonist. You actually root for him in some capacity due to his origins from mistreatment at the hands of an enemy who viewed him as expendable. I have to imagine that if the situation was aligned properly, he might not be a "bad guy."
I think the Banished were 343’s best addition to the Halo franchise honestly. I just love their Roman meets Mad Max look, their history, mercenary society, weapons, vehicles etc. the Banished are so cool. I just hope they have a good reason for being an antagonist in Halo infinite, I think 343 needs to flesh out the Banished motivation more so it isn’t just “we want power”.
I heard a theory stating that atriox wanted to capture the spirit of fire and add it too his fleet. That’s why his flag ship never wanted to engage it. He didn’t want to damage a good ship
There are new mega construx sets on their website and in the set defense point shutdown there is a brute with what looks to be the front of locke’s helmet on his shoulder pad. Also in the description of the set it says that the brute is named hyperious
I wonder if an Atriox vs Arbiter fight would begin with Atriox respecting Thel for killing Tartarus or not. I assume Atriox wouldn't have thought highly of Tartarus, who was basically just Truth's right hand man.
how can the banished substain themselves? I mean, do they controll planets etc? these large amount of soldiers, equipment etc have to come from somewhere. also food, water etc
A big appeal of The Banished and why they've been received so positively by fans compared to the forgettable Storm Covenant of H4 & 5 is because they're, for the most part, actually sympathetic. Their ranks are filled with jaded mercenaries disillusioned by the Covenant and are sticking together not out of political benefit but out of solidarity from being part of a pointless war built on a lie
I like the banished, they are a natural evolution, since when the Covenant fell, it had already betrayed its own elites and began using brutes as main forces. Their was alot of brute military force out in the galaxy after halo 3, and the banished had a message that made former covenant elites feel welcome. (the ones that didn't wanna deal with the Arbiters morals) It would be natural for a charismatic leader (Atriox) to rally together leftover covenant forces that didn't wanna play nice with Earth or Sanghelios.
With the Banished returning IN STYLE in Halo Infinite, I figured now was a better time than ever to cover the entire history of Atriox's faction of warriors, enjoy friendos!

While we never see a decisive hit on him to kill him, the fact that he was swarmed and that the planet was undergoing the glassing process, leads to him dying. There is no way 6 is alive. Would I want it? No. He died the most perfect way he could, a Lone Wolf died a lone wolf
Well Spartans never die
Yeah
A cool boss battle to test their metal.... and Chief hasn't had a worthy opponent for many years
Thanks for the shoutout HiddenXperia! :) Great video! :D
It feels like its becoming similar to Dawn of War with the design style and factions.
I rarely comment on videos but just wanted to say that yours are amazing! Especially your lore videos!
I didn’t get a UA-cam notification but thank the Precursors I’m in the discord so I got the announcement
Yeah it seems YT notifications are going out pretty slowly today
Yeah, this isn’t the first time it’s happened and it unfortunately, probably won’t be the last
Lmao..
Precursors are kind I see ☺
@BeastModeJelly most of the time...
I can already tell that I’m going to be throwing my controller across my room when the fight with atriox on legendary finally arrives
We watched as 3 of the most skilled warriors ever produced by Humanity were absolutely destroyed by Atriox, I can't wait to see how the Chief fairs against Atriox and the Banished.
Chief could never take him head on, he'd only be able to take him out using the element of surprise.
Wait, who were the 3?
@@herbertng2489 Spartans Douglas, Jerome, and Alice.
@@herbertng2489 Jerome is a 2
I think what I love about Atriox is that he is actually a compelling protagonist. You actually root for him in some capacity due to his origins from mistreatment at the hands of an enemy who viewed him as expendable. I have to imagine that if the situation was aligned properly, he might not be a "bad guy."
"In the end he was just a soldier, wondering if he did the right thing"
"Atriox and his band of merry men." Alright. I hear you. Just not the same words I'd use.
Precursors VS a decent sized Flood outbreak would be a great video
I wonder if we'll get to fight the Silent Shadow, that would be interesting.
“An Elite group of elites.”
I am unbelievably excited for infinite. I cannot wait to see chief vs atriox. This might be the best single player campaign of any halo game
I really hope Colony plays a role in Halo Infinite, they're so cool. Major Mass Effect 2 Harbringer vibes
Love these lore vids
If Colony wants the rings for themselves does that make them Ringworms.
First Order: Who are you?
Banished: I'm you, but stronger and way better.
You got me good with that ad placement. Bravo.
I hope we can choose the faction we want to join. I really want to be with the Banished as an Elite instead of being a human.
With how accepting the Banished are of members, I'm shocked that there haven't been any humans who've joined them.
There is confirmed that humans where in the banished, but they were always off-screen
@@erikjan15585 technically
Fun fact: the name executioner given to the elite is also the name of a tower from tower defence simulator on roblox
So are the “Harbinger” the remains of the Keepers of the One Freedom? Because Castor knew Atriox personally.
I heard a theory stating that atriox wanted to capture the spirit of fire and add it too his fleet. That’s why his flag ship never wanted to engage it. He didn’t want to damage a good ship
Last time I was this earl- wait... I’ve never been this early before.
8:00 It’s been Mendicant all along!
I wish we could get a Halo game with playable Brutes. Atriox is my favorite character in halo Lore
There are new mega construx sets on their website and in the set defense point shutdown there is a brute with what looks to be the front of locke’s helmet on his shoulder pad. Also in the description of the set it says that the brute is named hyperious
I just saw this too, do you think locke died?
When you first saw raycon were you blinded by it's value.
Blinded?
@@thelvadam6334 Paralysed, dumbstruck?
iiMporting no
@@Shinnative1945 No what.
I wonder if an Atriox vs Arbiter fight would begin with Atriox respecting Thel for killing Tartarus or not. I assume Atriox wouldn't have thought highly of Tartarus, who was basically just Truth's right hand man.
Xperia: "Outfitted with something said to be precursor" Me:"wait.... wut?" Xperia: *epically baits*
how can the banished substain themselves? I mean, do they controll planets etc? these large amount of soldiers, equipment etc have to come from somewhere. also food, water etc
*posted 10 seconds ago* hell yeah
I was never really a massive fan of the banished but the way the guy in the trailer says it, ooh it gives me chills man
A big appeal of The Banished and why they've been received so positively by fans compared to the forgettable Storm Covenant of H4 & 5 is because they're, for the most part, actually sympathetic.
(the ones that didn't wanna deal with the Arbiters morals)
It would be natural for a charismatic leader (Atriox) to rally together leftover covenant forces that didn't wanna play nice with Earth or Sanghelios.
Their designs are amazing and their lore is awesome. Infinite hype is off the charts
They've become my favorite Faction
Bruh I’m just waiting for Infinite. I’m so bored of everything rn waiting for this shit. I love your vids man. Also, you getting a new intro I hear?
I’m still thinking how the Flood were able to construct a Protogravemind of that scale so quickly.
Grunts my friend. Lots of dead Grunts.
*they shouldnt use atriox*
build the damn story up, the stakes arent even raised
That was one hell of a sponsor transition, I love you
