We stayed in Gava for one night after returning from a cruise. We went to the beach there. Even though it was August, the beach was empty except for us and one other couple. It was wonderful.
As a brazilian I have to say you save me a LOT of time!! I love beaches and I'm moving out to Barcelona so your video is PURFECT! 😊 BTW what are the best neighborhoods closer to the beaches to live?

Which beach is suitable with children but still not crowded? How are the beaches in general on weekdays? Rather quiet or is always busy?
Mmm all beaches are ok for kids, some have playgrounds, Barceloneta is the worst, the rest are better. Weekends packed, during week days it's better, except for barceloneta. For me the best one is Castelldefels:)

One of the main reasons I wanna visit spain is because of the language, culture and music. I like latin artists; some others like Jorge Cafrune, Morat. And some older spanish songs.
Music: listen to cerati, Jarabe de palo, Andres calamaro, coti. Los simpson in spanish from latin america, or Merli (a super famous spanish show from barcelona)

My mother is originally from Barcelona, and I will be moving there next month to live with my abuela. Being from Hawaii, I am really spoiled when it comes to beaches. Do you know where would be the closest beach outside of Barcelona where I could find crystal clear water? Some coves where the water is calm and clear?

@@PickaPictour Thank you for replying! My mother and grandmother and I went on a road trip in 2017. We drove from Barcelona up to Roses, and to Cadaques, and up to France. So fun! Cadaques was such a beautiful town. Roses was ok…. My favorite part was hanging out with the owners of Aloha Chicken. I had the best night practicing my Spanish and drinking with them. I look forward to the journey of finding my favorite beach on the east coast…. Or on the islands! …after all, I’m an island girl 🏝️ Thank you for the suggestions.

Yes, it's clean to swim. It's normal haha. Except Sant Adrià with the river. But like I said, the farther you go the better beaches, water and sand. Castelldefels is one of the best in this area. 😬

iv just got back and the beaches are made of broken glass and cig butts, there are condom and shit floating in the bay, the sea and beaches in Barcelona are gross.
