Always start your cut from the bottom and work your way up this will allow you to keep sight of your line even if using water the slurry will run down on the area you have already cut
Always cut from top to bottom,that way you can also lean the saw in de concrete as you go down
Some bad advice. You forgot gravity. You don't need to keep sight of your line if you have a guide. Just nail in a wooden slat. You have to cut the wall remember it is not easy So you need to use force so you have to go against gravity and use force is just too much of work. From top to down you just hold the saw against wall tight and not actually lift it that much. Gravity will put pressure and let the saw slice the wall.

he did that for 100 or so bucks..damn. I would of charged easily $400+ for equipment and the cut.
Damn. Only 7 cm blade that is less than 3 inches. That wall is thin I have a 9 inch brick and mortar wall patched with putty and pain to cut. In my city all the pros(not really pros) want to use a sledgehammer and break it. My house is very old I don't want to bang into it. I am looking at an easy way to cut it myself. I was searching if anyone dismantled a Chop saw and used it. Chop with 15 inch blades are pretty affordable. I mean for the money I spend on it woudl be worth the money I save paying for getting the wall broken. The Chop saw cost more around 50% more but The chop saw is mine I got it for 70% the price. Nobody in my city has these tools. Even in My country Only some major cities have this.
Some things are better left to the experts but you had a good crack at it though 🙂
