I come from generations and decades of piston engines, but nothing beats the cracklin' roar of incineration like a afterburning jet engine. (Disclaimer: I've not witnessed an aerospace rocket launch)
@@ResistculturaldeclineModern fighter jets sound pretty similar to rockets launched. I've never seen a Rocket launch and don't plan on doing so but they sound very similar.
@Cars-N-Jets My goal was to see the NASA shuttle launch. I've heard it's unworldly. Roughly the thrust of 150 F-15s at once. But I think that event has come to pass.
Now that is what I'm talkin about! Doesnt get much more badass. I always been curious as to what speeds these maneuvers are being performed at. Could you do a video on how fast the plane and the pilot can maneuver? Maybe what is possibly and what is actually practiced, or what is acceptable to the brass. This is epic and you sir are a badass no doubt.
Grew up in SC about 150 miles from Shaw AFB. In the early 80's, they would fly over our house at what seemed like 200ft. We could hear them coming and would run outside just in time to see them absolutely scorch by. Freaking awesome
They were stationed at CAE while shaw had runway work done. I live next to the airport. It was amazing. Im a grown man and when i heard them i would run outside for a glimpse lol.
Always loved the sound of fighter jets, especially when they are low flying and making the sonic boom. F15/16 and even F86, still some of the best fighter jets.
@@pj7362 the jet is actually going at least 700. They are allowed to make transonic passes over civilians. The air flow over the nose and top of wings actually is supersonic, which is why you can see the shock front forming on the rear of the aircraft. The blue angels make a 700+mph pass in every show. At low altitude the speed to break the sound barrier is in the high 700s, so they can make passes in the low 700s and still not make a true sonic boom. However they DO make a sonic “thump” and you can most certainly hear/feel it. So yeah, he actually was probably going right at 700mph right here. Go to any blue angels show and you’ll get to see a jet go 700 also.

No 700 seems about right. 765 at sea level would be AT the speed of sound. You can roughly calculate the speed based on the difference in when you first hear the plane vs when it’s overhead.
God I love that sound!

By the sound of it it appears to be just under Mach 1
I’m pretty sure they can reach up to 1600 mph

Super Sonic Speed

Is 700mph the top speed for f16 at low altitude
nice

This a high pass
Thats not an f16 it has double engines it can be a fa\18
Ur shock?
Next SUKHOI SU-29 Flanker
So..... the laws of physics dont apply to this plane!
The airplane can pull 9gs but the human body has trouble with that. The pilot has to do anti g exercises or the pilot will pass out.
@@ronnieprater6378 nonsense. When I was on active duty I got a ride in one and pulled 9 g's and didn't pass out. It's called a G suit.
