Hey, thanks for letting me ride along! The bridges and trestle work are fantastic! Some of the guys in your group may have already shared this, but the ex-Burlington Northern F-series EMD parked at Garibaldi belongs to Doyle McCormick, the engineer for the SP 4449 "Daylight" engine. Also, the Mallet locomotive sitting in pieces on the siding was built by Baldwin in 1934 for Weyerhaeuser and became their #4 out of Klamath Falls. I hauled thousands of loads of logs over her old grades in the 80s and 90s. She was sold to the Sierra Railroad and hauled logs as their #38 before being sold to Rayonier, where she retained #38 and worked 'til her retirement in 1966. She was sitting on a storage track at Rayonier's Railroad Camp when Fred Kepner bought her and moved her to McCloud, California, and eventually to Merrill, Oregon. When I lived in Klamath Falls I'd drive to Merrill to visit her every so often, and I'm convinced Fred thought I was insane. I'm happy she's been rescued by OCSR but hope they'll get her out of the salt air pretty soon. There are some cool old films of her working for Rayonier available on UA-cam. Just Google "Rayonier logging railroads" if you're interested. Cheers!

I've never heard of Oregon cheese heads just Wisconsin, and here in Michigan we have a suspension bridge that's 5 miles long just one finished in 1959 and we have a ton of bridges and our coastline is longer than yours but we have no ocean, just 3 great lakes. Nice speeder cruise.

Around the 23:00 mark is where the depot used to sit on the right hand side.
It actually still exists having been moved to the Blue Heron Cheese Company.
They were going to restore it but so far, nothing’s been done.

Pretty cool, any information on the type of engine used in the speeder? Sort of sounds like a two cylinder Onan we used use for trailer mounted reefers when I worked for Carnation Dairy. Thanks for great video, always nice to see the coast.

I wonder if this is an Amish or maybe a Mennonite farm. Looks like it has a traditional Hex painted the side of the barn. 29:22
