The Parks Department is working with police to find out who has been wrecking pickleball courts in Riverside Park. CBS New York's Lori Bordonaro has the story.
That's exactly what it is. It's the noise that's driving someone to do this. I've seen/read numerous news articles recently about the noise that playing pickleball can produce, and while vandalism is not the answer, the noise issue needs to be properly addressed.
There is water on one side and appears to be a wall on the other side. Noise?? I highly doubt that it has anything to do with noise. More like a shallow individual that only feels good about himself or herself when making everyone else as miserable as they are.
Lady in the video literally says there is a highway right next to the courts. Sometimes people are just idiots and they don’t have a good excuse for their terrible behavior.
They started playing pickleball on the tennis courts 1/2 km from my place, and I can hear the ponk, ponk, ponk! I'm so glad I don't live right next to the courts. I would go crazy.

You can't really blame them. Pickleball is the most annoying thing to listen to if you're just in your home trying to relax after a hard 10-hour shift at work.
Guess what we do in a civilized society when a problem like this arises? We ask the government to do something about it. We have courts of law here. We don't pursue vigilante justice - it's pointless and anti-social.

No doubt it’s because Pickleball is loud and constant. People who don’t play are driven nuts by the sound, all day long. The video seems to have edited the sound out but people who complain say it’s a sharp sound like a pistol shot, and when many people are playing at once, it’s very disturbing. Undoubtedly, this was done by such a person. People who play don’t care about others but if someone were revving a motorcycle outside their window for hours each day, they wouldn’t like it. But they’ll play Pickleball all day long. Pickle ballers, in other words, are like people who do motorcycle stunts in heavy traffic. HATED in their community.
Have any complaints been filed regarding the NOISE??? look there first, the nearest residences....pb is unbelievably noisy and annoying, just ask residents who live near the pb courts anywhere, its horrible!

Pickleball has ruined my local park enjoyment. Where were they playing b4 the parks installed it? They removed all tennis courts and put in 4x as many PB courts. They are swarmed nearly all day, every day. You can't walk in peace. They hang a ridiculous flag that gives nationalist vibes. Hog all the parking. The park has little joy.
Courts are being built in parks where I live. The thing is that pickleballers would rather play inside which is exactly where they are about half the year. They use the recreation center gym for at least three hours most days.
Pickleball is an absolute nuisance. My elderly parents get woken up every morning by pickle ball players that repurposed a tennis court across the street from their house.
The stupid game is too loud and the people that play are like talking to bicyclist that don't ride away. I rarely agree with vandals but this time I do.
