Nice tips, but I don't see the need for #5- it's just showing taking one apart and putting it together again - no tip/trick/hack there.
@lynneclark5313, I think what this is saying when your peg breaks apart, this is how to put it back together and extend it's usefulness instead of giving up on it. Very simple thing, I agree, nonetheless a revelation to some fellows.

The match-shooting trick, the last one, is the one I wanted to see. We did that when we were kids. But we had a bit of sandpaper inside and shot burning self-striking matches at each other...

lainie, probably just water, people use what they call a wet stone to sharpen knives with it is a stone with water
