Ear infection prevention tip that i learned: Babies lying at an incline versus flat while drinking from a bottle will have less risk of ear infections due to the milk not draining into the Eustachian tubes and causing them to swell. When this happens, the middle ear cannot drain properly.
Your kids are so precious and I know you both are enjoying these moments so much!

Yeah, I remember that this was recommended a long time ago for my kids, not laying flat drinking bottles. My kids are in their 30s.
You took the words right outta my mouth M Clark! When I saw them drinking I was thinking oh my goodness they need to be sitting up some so they won't get an ear infection😬. My heart melted watching them both clearly recognize, get excited & grab for their bottles 😍❤️! But yeah I was always told the same with all my kids. When my oldest (now 15yo) was born clear down to when my youngest (now 8yo) was born.

Hey Colleen in case you haven’t seen just wanted to let you know that those mushroom tethers the babies are holding in chairs have actually been recalled due to possible suffocation risks!!

I'm sure you know this but the mushroom teethers were just recalled for suffocation risk! No shame, or judgement, I had some too just FYI if you hadn't seen it. Love watching you and the kids!

We just tell our kids they’re grown up words, not bad-just for grown ups. They can use them when they understand when it’s appropriate to use them. It’s worked so far, we’ll see if it lasts 😆

Makes me wonder if they'll cuss when playing 'grown ups' because I for sure played that game when I was little and would have cussed if someone told me they were grown up words lol
This is what we’ve done with our kids too. But let me tell you they give each other the thumbs up as a way of flipping each other off 🤣 and also they will use faux bad words. But they are 8 and 12.5 for the longest time it worked. I’m sure now when I’m not in hearing range they test the waters.
Same. I try not to “punish” then for cussing (especially because I’m their mom and I cuss worse than a sailor) because it’s just words and who gets to decide if they’re bad or not. Inappropriate yes. It’s one of the the few thing adults get to do that kids don’t. Lol.
We've done the same. Our boys are 9 & 10. The worst we get out of them is 'crap' and 'freakin', and we swear like sailors. Never when speaking directly to them - but definitely around them.
The "sea monsters" are actually an “artificial hybrid” of brine shrimp created to be able to go through a process called “cryptobiosis.” In essence, that powder you find in your Sea-Monkey packets is brine shrimp eggs in suspended animation. Once you dump the powder into your (purified) water, they begin to “hatch” and grow.

ive been watching since bailey (her niece) was like 3 (shes 13 now) so to see everything happpening over the last 10 years, how colleens platform has expanded, her netflix show, the touring, broadway, her marriage to erik, her pregnancies, flynn, pets and now the twins is so cool to see!

COLLEEN MAJOR PSA !!! The orange and green mushroom things (11:00 into the video) got recalled from Amazon ! They are a hazard for kids because they flip inside out (as one did in the little clip) and can suction onto their nose/mouth !! just wanted to let you know in case you weren't aware of that yet
The moment I saw the babies practicing holding their bottles, it became a full Phil-and-Lil moment for me and I’m not sure I’ll never not see this 😍😭❤️

*Baby foods can be super PAINFUL on sore gums*
Colleen, when a baby’s gums are hurting, don’t give them new baby foods that’ll sting and irritate them even more.
Stick with either no solids or low acid foods till her gums aren’t raw and stinging from being broke open and swollen with new teeth.
Interesting. I’m due with my first in October and I learn so much from the comments in Colleen’s videos lol. I’ll have to remember this one.

They are always supervised when they are with any toys she’s said that a few times before!! She takes motherhood very seriously and follows all the rules more so than most I would say!! The twins are honestly never unsupervised unless sleeping and even then she keeps them close I’m sure!! Thx for sharing to inform her of the issue and recall!!

Oh no it might be a little dif sweety I’m sorry. I say stay busy. However, in a hospital that is a little harder to do. Send videos and call them. It is ok to feel sad. If u didn’t I’d be a little concerned. Feel your feelings but know they will be just fine

i just want to tell you that I never wanted to have kids until I saw your channel. I always thought I could not be considered a successful woman and also have children, merely based on what others told me. However, after watching your channel, I have become more open to wanting children and realizing that having children doesn't stop you from being successful, you stop yourself. You can have it both, no matter how hard it may be. So I just wanted to say thank you for all that you do, and in helping me realize I can be successful with a career and have children. It just may be a little harder.

Suggestion for coming to Georgia for tour. I also wanted to say that you're doing such an amazing job! You and your husband are raising such amazing little humans! I wanted to mention that I did see a recall on the mushroom teether toys. I'm not sure which brand, but there is a recall on a curtain one because it can cover/ suction the babies mouth and suffocate them. Hopefully those aren't the ones that were on the recall.

Colleen word of advice, please dont let them lay down while they have a bottle. Milk can get in their ears and give them ear infections or they can lose their hearing... I for one and someone who lost most of my hearing in my left ear as a baby from this. Not trying to mom shame just thought you should know.
