Do you have a link? I remember he did change his skin color for skits which is 100% not okay. He would dress up and play all his characters - they all were made to look silly. It wasn't just colored characters that he played that way - every single character was over the top. If I remember correctly, he came forward and apologized publicly about playing colored characters - saying that he wasn't aware that blackface was a racist thing or the past surrounding it. Not defending those videos - they were wrong point blank period. I myself, honestly didn't know the history of blackface until Shane was shamed for it. I think it could be possible that he was just unaware and uninformed.

Jeffree, by association, can now use Shane as a literal meat shield. Shane Dawson reminds me of my ex best friend who was so insanely two-faced. She would gossip about people to others because she knew it was what they liked to hear, and then turn around and gossip to the ones she had just been talking about ABOUT the people she had just been talking to.
