Really have to disagree with you there. I ride a cruiser, and almost always wear either the X-Spirit III or RX-7V. Both are great, also when you're in an upright position. And comfort is dependent on the rider. I like a snug fit, and the helmet to stay in place when I turn my head to shoulder-check. Racing helmets fit those requirements to a T. I've also got open-face helmets (Arai Freeway Classic & HJC FG-70S) and a modular (Neotec II), but they're rarely on my head when I go riding.
Very informative. I'm so glad the background music eventually stopped.
Another great video and many inportant tips. 👏🏻
Really a very informative video on racing helmets . Great start for the new year looking forward for more awesome contents and videos.
this WAS NOT a very informative video on RACING helmets, they just summed up all generic functions most "bit decent" sportive helmet has. The most important thing about a racing helmet is that it fits YOU (so not every brand is suitable for your head) and that it has decent SHARP rating and that it has some aerodynamic shape
That was absolutely the best explanation of racing helmet features and how to choose, that i have seen. Thanks. I personally have the Shoei and Arai, but of the two much prefer the Arai. I guess its all about the fit and comfort.
But thanks all the same
I'm using my Shoei X-Spirit 3 on a naked MT-10 and it's working perfectly. It is relatively quiet, very aerodynamic and great ventillation
What happend to the Shark race r pro carbon or gp? The one that jorge lorenzo used or Scott redding.
i bought the SR2 550 eyro for riding on tdm 900 you are absolutely right guys when i am riding normal tdm touring position ,i have noise and i am not comfortable ,when i try to do make my self a racer and bring my head down like a superbike rider ALL the noise is gone
Bell race star with flex safety system is now the helmet to race in improved model by miles the others are playing catch up
the bell star was my third bell helmet, and i was very happy with it, except for the visor. The hinge mechanism was trash. It never locked correctly and would pop off regularly at 100+. When I crashed at 30mph, the visor popped off instantly. Thank goodness I wear glasses or else I would have gotten rocks in my eyes.
How many seasons did you willingly deal with that?
I can't imagine starting a new riding season that way.
Im all for saving money and being thrifty but motorcycle riding is dangerous enough, I don't need to be reaching up to keep finger fucking my crappy visor as I'm doing #3 of the 20 scheduled 0-180 mph bomber runs on the highway.
Same thing for me
Nice

ABSOLUTE RUBBISH, I ride naked bikes and own the Arai rx7v and the Bell race star flex, both helmets are excellent with minimal buffeting and noise. I wear my Samsung buds live in them both
