    I have this exact color helmet in Large for about 2 years, its perfect, no high speed wobble(150mph+), no fogging, great field of view, basically a lot of excellent small details that sum up to this helmet. With the special visor the tint is just enough for bright days unless your riding toward the Sun for long periods id recommend wearing some shades. You can ride the visor up confidently at 80 mph speeds, all around well built and looks cool, pleasure to ride this helmet.

    I've had this helmet for about a month. That transitions adaptive shield is fine, but it never really goes dark enough; I still have to wear sunglasses underneath on bright days. It does fit perfectly for my head. I've never owned a helmet where you don't have to wiggle your ears a little to fit them properly, which is a common complaint for just about every helmet. The recessed speaker pockets are perfect for the Sena 30K system I'm running. There is a Pinlock visor available (where the Pinlock is already installed) but then you have three visors for the helmet, which is not the worst thing. Its a great lid. Comfortable and light.

      If you see this, I heard that this helmet doesn't allow you to open the visor at different positions while riding. Just open or closed. I normally ride with the visor at the lowest position without clicking closed. Is there still a good amount of airflow at that position?

      @@carllewis1691 Sorry Carl, totally missed this. Yes, you can remove all the inner pads, but taking out the neck roll is particularly a pain in the butt. It just takes time and patience. It's not easy.

    • @mistergoats
      @mistergoats 4 роки тому +2

      @@robertstimmel1100 ya man, that's correct. There's no "detents" in the visor. You have three positions - fully open, fully closed, or cracked (effectively just lowering the visor to hover above the seal). While the visor opening is wide, it's really not that tall. It doesn't bug me at all except for opening it at stoplights to get some air when it's bright and I'm not wearing sunglasses.

For my Qualifier DLX I had to go with a self-adhesive aftermarket one, because in the US at least all I could find was a clear pinlock. That worked but I really needed a sun shield. The transitions visor it came with is fantastic. I could have gotten a tinted pinlock but I'd have had to import it from the UK, that was the only place I could find it, and tinted isn't as good as transitions.

This was at 80 mph roughly. If you wear ear plugs, which I hope you do, take 30 dev off which puts the noise at around inside of a car going 75mph.

Don’t listen to G-Misc, he’s just an angry dude. This helmet scored 5 stars on the Sharp rating which is done by the UK government. @@RevZilla thank you drew!, what do you think of this helmet for extreme heat/ humidity vs the previous race star? Or rpha11 which seems to be the champion of ventilation but no carbon finish or transitions or Snell :(

      @@RevZilla I have been reviewing other people who have bought one and they have commented that it is a. it narrow and they have experienced pressure on their ears. I wear a medium neotec 2 and have a 59cms head size and it fits perfectly conversely I also have a Nolan N87 fullface and have that in large again it fits very well.what size helmet would you suggest would be best in a reach star dlx flex large as the size guide suggests 59-60cms is large or would you suggest a different size ? please let me know thanks

    $735 helmet. cha-ching
    $40 cheek pad adjustment. cha-ching
    $150 photochromic lens. cha-ching
    $285 'com system. cha-ching
    Then some shmuck comes along and says, what is your head worth? I'm not sure I can answer that question, but the budget has been blown for everything else already so I'm gonna have to ride in sweat pants and cotton socks.
