"The stickers everyone mentions but never use" .... so true. Every reviewer spends time discussing if the stickers are there and what color they are. Who freakin cares nobody uses them.
A very good review. I tried the M2 MBA and this was not for me. My 2020 IPad Pro was much better for my usage (web browsing, streaming, smoothness of the 120hz…) and sufficient for the go. I’m planing to buy the base M2 Mac mini for the rare cases when a computer is better. I just bought yesterday a LG Ultrafine 4K monitor for it and my ps5 just for 160 € thanks to a promo with my company and I already have a Magic Keyboard. Thanks to my compagny gift for Christmas and The Apple Store education price, I can have this Mac Mini for 460 € ! It’s an incredible price. Can’t wait to receive it !

Bought one of these, for their portability, for my GIS Mapping / Survey mapping role on oil rigs in the Persian Gulf. The MacBook Air might be great in a coffee shop or bedroom but it simply doesn't cut it on rigs in the Persian Gulf heat. It throttled too much during basic tasks and I experienced the beach ball more times than I would like to mention. I had to return it during my next expat break and changed it for a MacBook Pro 13 M2 as recommended by troubleshooters at Apple. The thermal cooling system in the Pro makes it far superior for professional applications and extreme working environments. I don't care if the screen is a tad smaller and the design is more dated. It was a vast improvement over the Air M2. No one talks about this issue enough. The MacBook Pro 13has been written off by so many 'UA-cam Experts' but most haven't got a clue what they're talking about. A laptop needs to be cooled.
@@thedownunderverse Maybe so but this is why the MacBook Pro is for Pros. It delivers no matter the situation. The MacBook Air showed itself to be very lacking. Lesson learned for the future. Great computers need fans. They have to be kept cool.
youre using it in an extreme heat temperature 24/7 and seeing by your occupation, your use case is suited by the pros than the air. The MacBook Pro 13 has been written as it has very few advantages. Usually, they take the air for light users and 14/16 for the power users. The use case that the 13 has is that its cooled so it can be used in high temp situations and its small and compact, not as the air. Personally, its a great machine on its own but it's that when you compare to the 14/16 or air, its not worth it unless very few special exceptions like you. Another reason is the luxurious reason, the 13 has an old design and when people feel something luxurious, its hard to go back. (think like this, you go from 60Hz to 120Hz, not just see but actually switch for like a month, then you go back to 60Hz, it will look and feel horrendous)
