You inspired me to make this lifestyle change. I’m down 13 pounds since the end of last month. It’s been a gradual process trying to eliminate salt and sugar (oil was no problem). The best part is that I feel my best, losing weight is just a bonus. 💜
My husband also has to break things down. I love eating out of a bowl, “there’s a taste delight in every bite”. I’m not exactly jumpig right into vegan, but so very close. You’re both so inspiring.
Looks like a great recipe! I will half it though since I’m the only vegan in my household. Jessica, you had me laughing so hard when you were commenting about your life decisions near the end. Brian’s reactions were priceless as well. Jessica “What is wrong with us?” Brian “Absolutely nothing!”He’s right! So happy to see your channel growing, keep up the good work! You are really helping others.
That looks so good! You’ve inspired me to try using blitzed corn and plant milk in place of coconut milk in a lighter curry. It just sounded yummy in your soup!
I've done this, for myself alone. Veggies and beans get me by an entire week. No junk food. It tastes good to me, and the texture is different. Thank you Krocks !
Thanks for another motivational video (cue Matt Foley)....hit a 25 year low weight this morning...giving you guys credit for helping motivate me with your incredible weight loss journey! Keep up the excellent work!!
So happy to find another couple who is SOS, you both are very easy to watch and so motivating! You've come a long way and look so good, congratulations!!
I am going to make this with a bit of a change: will use cauliflower instead of corn in the beginning and will also steam a pound of carrots and add to the milk and cauliflower puree.
You can cream fresh corn with soy milk and a little green jalopeno chili and add crushed chickpeas and steamed chunks of potato, onion, some chopped nori. It’s a wonderful vegan clam chowder!
Thanks for giving up your sleep to get this video up and running, love you guys, you are both so open and friendly. I have made the Weird Green Soup and loved it, will now try this variation.
Made this a few days ago with my husband. He helped me cook because I just had surgery and this is the easiest soup I've ever made. My husband and my daughter as well as I love it. My husband's co-worker even said it looked very good. I only used 4 bags of veggies and I added red lentils. I had some leftover boiled potatoes in the fridge so in they went .Very good soup 👍 looking forward to trying your other recipes.thank you. You both look great by the way and your skin is glowing 👍
Jeanette Paulson when I was juicing, I put turmeric in for my inflammation. It seemed to help. They say powered turmeric is good for stopping bleeding by applying to the cut.
You guys are so inspirational for the plant-based movement. I made a huge batch of the green soup; my family doesn't like it so now I have enough soup to last me many many months. I could barely fit it all in my freezer! I like it with frank's red hot sauce and served over rice. Love you guys!
My great uncle had a pumpkin patch. We loved taking home pumpkins in the fall. My friend made "killer" pumpkin soup. She was vegetarian. She roasted a whole garlic globe, carrots pumpkin and a few sweet potatoes. She must have used some sort of bullion and she just blended up the whole bunch of roasted veggies. To this day my mouth waters when I think about it. Great for Thanksgiving too.
I am watching this as a big batch of vegetable soup is cooking in my crock pot. I have my go to recipe that I have used for years. May be time for a change!
You are both looking so healthy and we can tell you are happy. 1:44 a.m or not, you guys are eating for the health of it. Congratulations on a great recipe
Saw this last night...had to make it! Just finished....literally in the middle of a 13 year old girls sleepover party. The poor girls are likely wondering what the wacky women in the kitchen is up to. Veggies are flying! First go with nutritional yeast as well! Thank you so much I love your videos because you are so, well....”normal” while somehow being unique and real at the same time!!
Love you two 😄😄 I love to use gallon freezer bags for putting soup up in the freezer. I put the bag in a shallow pan ( bread loaf ) fill it to where I want ; then freeze it . I have 5 - 6 pans that I've gotten from thrift stores and or garage sales. When frozen I take the bags out of the pans and they stack REALLY nicely in the freezer. I use guart bags too for smaller amounts those will freeze flat in a square pan and you can so more than one at a time too ❤
Love this so much! Ive been living on weird veggie bean soup for a while. Its been a meal prep life saver I dont get tired of. My latest batch i went thanksgivingy with the spices. Thyme and sage and poultry seasoning. I do the corn almond milk, but then for carrot juice i just wash chop and boil 8ish carrots till they are almost soft and put them and the water they cooked in into the blender add extra water a few cloves of garlic half a raw onion and my veggie better than bullion. Its way cheaper. Whiz it up till smooth. Also I like to use a giant bag of stir fry veggies. Throw away the sauce. I love the water chestnuts soak up the broth flavor and never lose their crisp bite through days in the fridge or a freeze and reheat. And the baby corn just makes me smile! If I feel the need to add a starch this is delicious over all of them! Baked sweet potatoes, and or brown and wild rice is especially yummy.
Hey you guys! I LOVE making big batches of soup in the winter. I am a mail carrier and there is nothing better than a hot thermos of veggie soup when it's snowing outside. I have been WFPB for three years now. I usually make my base from Red Mills Veggie soup Mix and vegetable stock, and I always, always add Brussel sprouts and chili paste amongst a multitude of fresh veggies. I will give your Weird Orange Soup a try for sure! Looks amazing!! Thanks for sharing your journey!!
Viewing your amazing soup from South Australia. I just love your videos and since I discovered you about a month ago have made a number of your recipes. Can't wait to make this soup! I am not overweight but very interested in nutrition and eat a plant based diet for optimal health, deliciousness, and my forever love of animals. You have my genuine respect and admiration for what you both have achieved in your weight loss journey, and encouraging others on the same path. 💕🐾
The recipe looks amazing, and I am about to try it. Thanks for your sacrifice getting this to us at such a crazy hour but I think all the positive, happy reviews let's you know how much everybody appreciates your amazing efforts. You two are really special. Thank you 💐💐💐😍😍😍.
Inspired by you guys, I made my own version of weird green soup, and since I have made several other soups- that yes are weird orange soups. I wholeheartedly support this vlog bc soup is so easy, cheap, and delicious. I love seeing yalls ingredients spread out!
That looks delicious. I also love to create soups using Orringtons vegan soup base broth that I order online. They have beef, ham which is my favorite, and vegetable and chicken. They are so flavorful creating a depth of flavor although I still add garlic, onion, smoked paprika, basil which I love alot and anything else I have a mind to add in My recent creation was using the ham flavored base, cooking 1 bag dry Lima beans , chopped onion my seasoning array I listed, after the limas cook for several hours unless I use frozen, I add 1 can of chopped tomatoes, frozen corn to my liking, 1 can diced potatoes, 1 can kidney beans, 1 can each cannelloni beans & pinto beans & sliced carrots I love this soup and I eat it all week. I'm an RN & teach a personal care aide class, and after the class had enjoyed the delicious aroma they were wanting a taste, so I brought in enough to share for lunch the next day. One student went home and made some for herself she loved it so much... I'm making another batch tomorrow for myself. It is truly satisfying. I truly love you guys and enjoy your channel.... Thanks for all of the inspiration! From the ❤️Vicki in Virginia 🙏
I've found 1/2 cup of dried beans is approximately equal to the 15 oz can. So happy to have discovered your channel, and looking forward to trying many of your recipes. I'm at least trying to eat meatless 3-4 days a week, aiming for fully meatless as I find enough recipes and learn techniques and swaps. I started a whole foods lifestyle in 2014 and lost 50 lbs. End of 2015 got super stressful at work with 60+ hour weeks and turned to convenience foods. Got 'downsized' and gained it all back.
I love the base soup. I would probably add different spices every day. Definitely would go well on brown rice. I love curry flavors, Asian flavors. So much variety there.
i have my own Weird Orange Bean soup.. many in fact. and i feel amazing eating them. thanks, gonna try your recipe. soup might be the ideal form of food.
I LOVE your soups served over potatoes! So amazing! I just LOVE all of your 'stuff'!!! Keep it up! I look forward to everything you post!! You guys are a true inspiration to me and my life journey where food is concerned!! Thank you!
Made some yesterday using a few of my half bags of frozen veggies--- some weird combos-- but it was great! I used soy milk and blended in raw carrots since I didn't have carrot juice. Yay Vitamix and yay Krocks!
This sounds delicious and looks amazing. I think the next time I do a soup (like in another week or so), I will try this one. I am going to be making a minestrone soup later this week and would love to share the recipe with you guys when I make it, so I will probably tack it on to another vid that you post later in the week, or come back to this one if you don't load another vid soon. Thanks again Brian and Jessica! Always love your recipes! Oh, Brian... when are you going to do the chili recipe? (Yes, I will keep asking until you make it *laughs*)
Looks delicious - I love soup! It’s a lot of ingredients, but I usually have most of them in the house. What I don’t have is a stockpot that will hold all that. Darn.
New subbie here! I really enjoy watching yall, very silly and amusing lol. I am gearing up to enter into a plant-based vegan lifestyle and you all have some really good looking, simple recipes that make this lifestyle seem less daunting. Thank you all for sharing.
I’m looking forward to trying a (smaller) batch of this soup - thanks for sharing. I think I’d like to add a bay leaf during the cooking to give it another base flavor. Bay leaf seems to work really well with tomato base soups. Cheers!
You guys rock! Like the base part of this soup...blended corn and carrot juice, thinking brown rice flour added would make a heck of a sauce for pasta and mashed taters🤔 or enchiladas. It's definitely a great harvest recipe! Thanks for the inspiration.
Yum. My husband loves cooking and experimenting with food and I just like enjoying his creations as well! Looks like a great soup, we will give it a try. Thank you 😊

I was admiring Jessica’s hair the entire time and it’s 2am hair!
LOL. Thanks 😃 I seriously thought it was closer to midnight so when I saw 1:44am I kind of lost it. LMAO
I was liking no her hair, too! It’s such a cute cut.
Me: I wonder what the krocks are doing...
Krocks: Eating weird orange soup at 2 am
Basically 🤣🤣🤣
That was a good tip about the tomato paste. I never thought of that.
Neither did we until a few people commented on our last video!
That looks so good! You’ve inspired me to try using blitzed corn and plant milk in place of coconut milk in a lighter curry. It just sounded yummy in your soup!
Patti Doyle what a great idea💡
I've done this, for myself alone. Veggies and beans get me by an entire week. No junk food. It tastes good to me, and the texture is different. Thank you Krocks !
Blend some and pour it over mashed potatoes as the “gravy”.

Also, I make all my soups and stews in my Instant Pot, so would love to see some of your creations using the Instant Pot.
Going to try this it looks mouth watering deliciousness. Would love to see a twist on this one Mexican flavor.
karen ha, my thought, too. Or Indian. Or North African. We could experiment with all sorts of seasonings!
Turmeric makes orange, doesn’t have much flavor alteration. Great to help inflammation.
Jeanette Paulson when I was juicing, I put turmeric in for my inflammation. It seemed to help. They say powered turmeric is good for stopping bleeding by applying to the cut.
It's only about 9 pm here in AZ so in a few more hours, I can make my own eat-it-at-2 am version of this soup. 😋🥘🥗💕 Love you guys!
Lol!!
You two are just so comforting and wholesome! I found Dr. John McDougall twenty years ago, and now I've found you!
Thank you so much Scott! We appreciate the love. 😃
I actually made the weird green soup today. Served it over a potato. Family loved it! Gotta try this one next time!
Good idea with the potato!!
When I discovered using frozen veg in my 1 dish meals, I thought I was in heaven. This soup looks absolutely delish. Thanks for posting. Yum!

I love how the weird green soup was based on whatever you had in the feeezer, but this one is more methodical. I love a good Italian soup!
I'm so happy to find your channel. My mother and I are 7 months plant based. I also cook bulk meals too! Soup looks tasty! Thank you for sharing!

I love making veggie soup and throwing beans and quinoa in also. I love any veggie soup with corn in it.
Love the idea for the frozen pearl onions. I bet that's good!
I'm really glad that fall is back because I love soup. Vegetable soups are easy.
The blended corn as a base is such a good idea!!

Brian you are an excellent cook and an excellent husband! I hope to be more like you. loving al the recipe videos lately!
Cheers!
You guys are delightful.
Sounds so good!! Love that you experiment because I do too!!
I had an awful day and actually laughed with Jessica ❤️❤️ - I needed that! Try curry powder, Garammmasala, smoked paprika, ginger, and garlic.
I'm going to make a facsimile. All your nutrients in one pot! Sounds good to me!
You guys rock! Like the base part of this soup...blended corn and carrot juice, thinking brown rice flour added would make a heck of a sauce for pasta and mashed taters🤔 or enchiladas. It's definitely a great harvest recipe! Thanks for the inspiration.
This looks so interesting and delicious. I would love a curry version of your weird soup and also maybe a Brazilian black bean version too :)
We don't even have a pot that big! (We live in an rv). I'll have to make smaller portions, but definitely want to try it! Sounds yummy!
We can’t wait to try this! Thank you both for sharing with us! Y’all are looking good!!! Night night, sweet dreams 😌
I'm going to have to make this! It looks delicious!
I love you guys! You are so fun to watch.
I’ve been hooked on Rosemary and thyme versions, kind of like shepherds pie. ❤️ these soups.
Yum. My husband loves cooking and experimenting with food and I just like enjoying his creations as well! Looks like a great soup, we will give it a try. Thank you 😊
This looks really good. Will be trying it out.
