Thank you for this, it was not obvious to me all the foods you were adding to your dinner salad, it would have been helpful if you just listed them as you added them. I'm watching on a small phone screen so I really couldn't tell what most of them were, and I would love to know. Just found you today with the potato diet-a-versary video, and will enjoy exploring your stuff. Great journey!

Thank you, thank you, thank you! May abundance and love rain down upon your lives for ever more, oh exalted ones! I have been struggling for the last year. Lost 35 lbs from May to October 2018. Gallbladder attack late October 2018 and then lived basically on rice and applesauce for nine months until my surgery June 2019. Gallbladder gone. Gained back 15 of those pounds I lost last year. I have been depressed and anxious with trying to figure out what to eat, especially with no gallbladder. I tried everything, even a local food delivery business. Food was great but too rich and expensive. I knew I needed to do plant based but didn't know how without creating a fancy vegan dish every night for dinner. Don't have time or patience. I am so excited you have simplified this for me and others out there in need. This is great food, easy to prep and satisfying. You two truly rock!

I was an ok weight until menopause, gained 40 lbs, 64 now BMI fine, plus did not want to eat meat so for last 4 yrs have been vegan did NOT however get rid of that last 5 lbs of belly fat, this is about health not appearance; just got stuck somewhere, doing everything right so just am glad to be alive and healthy and have happy dog and great friends. Swim and walk a lot; don't do weights back stuff. At my age it is important to have muscle tone and good bones and balance; no more Tom Petty tragic hip fractures! You guys are great!

My chosen brand of reusable container is Sistema. I own their large cube and large salad container as well as a set of 3 nested round containers and a square sandwich box(the taller one). Good for stacking in my work fridge. Some pieces can be bought at Bed Bath Beyond/World Market/Target/Home Goods(TJ Maxx n Marshall's, too). I had to get my cube from The Container Store as my local stores only carried the smaller size. Sistema does have a large offering of containers. Mine are just what I like and have lasted me years. Yay!

I just read about a cool feature on their website:
      Microwaving
Innovative vents allow microwaving with the lid on, helping to reduce splatters. Simply lift the containers latches to reveal vents for splatter-free microwaving, so consumers can easily reheat leftovers without removing the lid.

@@Carcarfranklin I made a hearty vegetable soup, had everything I had on hand in my refrigerator. But for a holiday, I haven't tried this, but someone used a pumpkin (not carved for Halloween, of course) as a soup tureen, and yes, it was hollowed out inside as that means take all the gooey seeds out of it. It looks so festive. To that, a wonderful corn bread would be nice and sauteed freshly made mushroom gravy over mashed potatoes and then have yams just because. Add a side of freshly cooked beets, and ear of corn on the cob. And freshly cooked green beans.
Desert could be a medley of fresh or frozen berries and wash it all down with some wine. Does this sound like you are suffering? I also found that what I made for breakfast this AM was so fabulous, it could be the basis of a wonderful dessert: I make Old Fashioned Quaker Oats for breakfast. My best friend has a whole-food business and one of the things she makes is apple butter and she brought me some dehydrated apple chips. So I chopped up the apple chips and stirred some apple butter into the oatmeal, and topped with the apple chips I had chopped. In no way was this anything but scrumptious. This could be baked like a cookie and would be fabulous. This is not an inferior diet. The longer I eat plant-based, the more I innovate. Just have fun with it.

Anyway one thing I use all the time is my lunch crock. It's amazing! You can leave base plugged in at your desk and you just take the inner container home to fill back up with your soup. It's a mini crockpot, it doesn't get hot enough to cook only to heat up your food. It's way better than microwaving.

I love how you put the Pyrex bowl for lunch on top of the lid with the kitchen roll in between ;). Its the little things! I got the pyrex bowls after watching your vids, and its a great upgrade! The Italian soup is the best and we can eat it for days. We’ve been doing vegan for a while, and we love your channel!

Yeah! Thanks for the chili recipe!!! Was wondering when you'de get to that. I luv ur channel!! I've been eating plant based for close to 3 years now. Started eating that way after 5.5 decades of eating the standard american diet where I ultimately became clinically overweight and sick. I got the courage to commit to a plant based diet. A lot of recipe experimentation and purchasing new cooking equipment I never knew about. After the first year of sticking to a plant based diet, I felt so unbelievably well, like I'd turned the clock back about 20 years. And was so surprised at how delicious it was to eat this way, that I knew for sure I was never going to eat any other way till the day I die. You guys make me laugh. I love your inspiring story. Your whole journey from the beginning is so much like mine. Thanks for putting yourselves out there. Luv You!!!
