    what I appreciate most about this is the compartmentalization of the skill. these segments of drills provide a solid foundation of building that translates to other tricks:) with that being said, would you say that shaping the gumbi for an efficient swing comes more from the back, or shoulder flexibility?

      Back and shoulder flexibility are not important. In fact mine are so bad that doing a back bend-over bridge is hard. The power comes from the hip and hamstring flexibility :)

      Anything you are good at. Td raiz, masterscoot, scoot, valdez, raiz, wrap full, full, cork, gainer switch are good examples.

    Anyone else feels a sharp pain in the hips while doing (3:43) this movement? Any advice? I got the same problem for my TD raiz...
    Please help!!

      Your hips might be just a little weak and/or too unelastic and/or unused to this position. Look up for some general hip-mobility exercises.

    Have something to fix your eyes on beside/behind you. So if your left hand touches the ground first, you can look at something to your right/somewhat behind you. Right hand touches first, something to your left/somewhat behind you.
