  • Hello!
Welcome to Schoen Roofing UA-cam Channel!
In this video we show how to install peel and stick base flashings on a low slope roof.
Peel and stick or Self Adhered (SA) low slope roof systems are becoming the norm in a lot of areas as there is less concern of fires from an open flame. This is always our preferred method when working on a residential low slope roof or a commercial roof with fire concerns.
In this video I show the flashing detail of the base layer at a chimney kick out from the wall. These can be a little tricky to cut properly. Always remember to prime all areas the base flashing will be installed.

Thank you for your support and enjoy!

Wow first time seeing primer used to adhere ice and water, super interesting! What type of primer is that?

Hi! Thanks for the question. The primer is Soprema Elastacol Stick. This looks like ice and water but is much thicker. Its the base layer of a 2 ply Soprema flat roof system.
