I'm not sure what you mean? Its just an USB port, it's not connected to a radio or anything.

Yes, Norway is locked down for 2-3 weeks. I'm still at work, but most of my coworkers are working from home.
Italjohn13 we are heading that way I think, but at the moment we are being told to stay home where possible. Sadly some selfish people are ignoring it. I can work from him (IT) so it’s ok. We have a young child so my wife is not able to go to work because of child care. Interesting times.

I found a screw on the chassis I attached the black earth wire to.
Well, that's what I understood from the beginning. But does that mean that the connector is only receiving power from the red wire? There are supposed to be two poles connected, right?
Yes, that's correct. One pluss and one minus. Red to the pluss fuse, black to the minus which is the metal body.
