My first order was sacred, holy, tobacconist, woodsman and 1886 oils. These scents are incredible, the tobacconist took me back to time spent with my grandparents. I’ve tried and enjoyed other companies, but their scents did not last more than a few hours. No so with Luxurious, these scents easily last 8 hours or longer for me, which is what I wanted. I recently got the calm bastard scent. I got it because it said it was recommended by you on the site. I love it and it is probably one of the best oils I have tried so far. I also got the Dark beard&body wash, I haven’t used it for my beard yet but I have used it as a body wash. I have psoriatic arthritis with psoriasis and my skin gets incredibly dry. This is the first body wash that I have used that doesn’t completely dry out my skin and make it crack.

Man, let me tell ya. After watching your reviews on the Luxurious bastard Sweet Bastard, I had to get it! I need to smell it before committing to a product. I'm only 30 minutes from his shop so I popped in. What a cool dude. Went over every scent he has available and WOW! Those are pretty amazing scents, let me tell ya. Very hard to choose 1 or 2. So, I ended up with the Sweet Bastard and his new one the Aristotle Bastard. Bought those in oil and butter. Picked up a sample of Poseidon as well. I absolutely love The Luxurious Bastard! I love that they have the strongest, longest lasting scents out there. The Holy Bastard, The 1886 Bastard, and The Woodsman are just three of my favorites. I own about 12 different scent profiles.
Definitely planning on giving them a shot. I like strong, long lasting scents and a couple of these sound right up my alley. Really cool designs on their merch too. Might have to add a hat to my unreasonably large collection. Really glad you were able to help them out. Pretty awesome.

There's a product for sale on their site that isn't in any way related to beard products or their brand that I find unprofessional and crude, and does not represent the inclusion and positivity that the beard community should. Might seem petty but that's going to be a deal breaker for me. That's disappointing. I was really considering them for my next restock.
Luxurious BAstard was one of my very first beard companies I bought oil from when I started my beard journey and from the get go I thought "MAN, I could wear his scents every day" but had to do my thing and try a bunch more companies. Now 1.5 years into my journey and after many companies I have circled back to Luxurious Bastard with a twist. A twist you ask? I like the bold scents but there are days I need want it less bold and because I LOVE Ostrich oil I have started doing a 50/50 mix of Luxurious Bastard and an unscented Ostrich oil from a different company. I think I have found my perfect world.
I order the calm bastard oil,butter and balm and I love it. The scent is a bit strong and bother my nose but the product is great. I also order the original oil and a candle. I will be order more.
@@DanCBearded it's so good. He described it as going to a county fair at the end of summer. It totally brings me to that. The smell of late summer/early fall,elephant ears,mixed with a smokiness. Not a tobacco smoke or pipe smoke nor a bonfire. Something totally different.
He's straight up my ONLY go to for beard oils and beard balms. I've ordered so many diff scented beard oils and they all were good. Me personally I like his cause the scents are pronounced!! I ordered one time and I mistakenly received one wrong beard oil. Reached out to him to let him know. He appologised and same day sent out the correct one. His customer service is top notch, the quality is top notch, the smells are unique to their own and again I love how u can actually smells his unlike most companies that u can barely smell anything. If ur trying to decide to try him or not you won't be disappointed. I love luxurious bastard! Mostly strong long lasting scents... My favorites are his seasonal scents! Dave is a great guy too! If I could only have 1 brand of beard oil it would be luxurious bastard. For manly scents I prefer holy bastard and dark bastard. If you like seasonal Yankee candle food type scents try some of the seasonal scents like October bastard and cozy bastard.
I promise you that you won't regret it! I was hooked after black beard bastard my first purchase. What kinda scent profiles do u like? I've tried so many that maybe I could suggest a good place to start.

Luxurious bastard makes up 75% or more of my beard oil inventory and I have a fair amount of oils from a dozen or so companies. The feel in beard is top notch and I am a huge fan of the strong complex scents. The best all around beard oil in the game in my honest opinion

I've been looking for a longer lasting fragrance. I love the strong sandalwood scent of HonestAmish but it doesn't last long at all. On your recommendation I ordered the Woodsman and Holy oil to try them out. . ;)
He has one that’s called Sweet Grove that’s one of my favorites. Reminds me going to Cali as a kid and picking\eating oranges from my Grandparents tree. So good and fresh. I’m really down to about 3 companies now that I use consistently and Lux is one of them.

Luxurious has undoubtedly the best scents in the game. Every one is spot on and has so much depth. They are very prominent so I understand some not being for everyone. Wether the scents are your thing or not, the quality is some of the best out there. Also, Dave is just the best.
I also need to rave about feel-in-beard. The scents can be long lasting and a bit much at times, but the quality of the feel in beard is so high it's worth using even unscented.
Vintage bastard is an absolute amazing scent really reminds me of what my grandpa would wear as a cologne and also Christmas vibes haha sucks he no longer can order the ingredients for that scent :( but I hope he brings the sexy bastard back that's good too

I tried luxurious for the first time. They immediately became my favorite after one purchase! Got the Frankenstein and wasn't too sure smelling out of the bottle because it hits you hard. But once I got it in beard, I kept smelling the different notes throughout the whole day! It's so so good. I can even smell it in the shower at night rinsing out. So if that's any indication of the rest of the scents I'm excited for more. As far as feel my beard has never felt so healthy and soft at the same time. Highly recommend. Also love catching the luxurious lounge on Fridays! I Do have a question as far as the washes go are they more gentle washes or are they more stripping?
This is fantastic and is very very accurate to me. I love Lux but... exactly like you said the scents were too huge for me. I actually loved that they are but in beard I just couldn't pull off the sort of attention grabbing power they have. I wanted to continue using his products but eventually stopped. This is precisely a way somebody like me can support LB with a slightly tamed down line. I hope he never changes the nature of the huge profiles because I really really wanted to love it and do think it's a fantastic vibe... long story short I'm going to order one of these new scents soon!

A couple observations. Guys with shorter beards can probably get away with stronger scented products simply because a beard of your length and thickness simply carries a lot more product than most. Second, I'm not sure I agree Lux is stronger than Black Rebel, FWIW.

I'm only 30 minutes from his shop so I popped in. What a cool dude. Went over every scent he has available and WOW! Those are pretty amazing scents, let me tell ya. Very hard to choose 1 or 2. So, I ended up with the Sweet Bastard and his new one the Aristotle Bastard. Bought those in oil and butter. Picked up a sample of Poseidon as well. I absolutely love The Luxurious Bastard! I love that they have the strongest, longest lasting scents out there. The Holy Bastard, The 1886 Bastard, and The Woodsman are just three of my favorites. I own about 12 different scent profiles.

There's a product for sale on their site that isn't in any way related to beard products or their brand that I find unprofessional and crude, and does not represent the inclusion and positivity that the beard community should. Might seem petty but that's going to be a deal breaker for me. That's disappointing. I was really considering them for my next restock.

Luxurious BAstard was one of my very first beard companies I bought oil from when I started my beard journey and from the get go I thought "MAN, I could wear his scents every day" but had to do my thing and try a bunch more companies. Now 1.5 years into my journey and after many companies I have circled back to Luxurious Bastard with a twist. A twist you ask? I like the bold scents but there are days I need want it less bold and because I LOVE Ostrich oil I have started doing a 50/50 mix of Luxurious Bastard and an unscented Ostrich oil from a different company. I think I have found my perfect world.

@@DanCBearded it's so good. He described it as going to a county fair at the end of summer. It totally brings me to that. The smell of late summer/early fall,elephant ears,mixed with a smokiness. Not a tobacco smoke or pipe smoke nor a bonfire. Something totally different.

I ordered one time and I mistakenly received one wrong beard oil. Reached out to him to let him know. He appologised and same day sent out the correct one. His customer service is top notch, the quality is top notch, the smells are unique to their own and again I love how u can actually smells his unlike most companies that u can barely smell anything.
If ur trying to decide to try him or not you won't be disappointed. Plus I like supporting him as a very small company than giving my money to a bigger company that has lesser quality products

I love luxurious bastard! Mostly strong long lasting scents... My favorites are his seasonal scents! Dave is a great guy too! If I could only have 1 brand of beard oil it would be luxurious bastard. For manly scents I prefer holy bastard and dark bastard. If you like seasonal Yankee candle food type scents try some of the seasonal scents like October bastard and cozy bastard.

Luxurious bastard makes up 75% or more of my beard oil inventory and I have a fair amount of oils from a dozen or so companies. The feel in beard is top notch and I am a huge fan of the strong complex scents. The best all around beard oil in the game in my honest opinion

My most owned company and my all time favorites. His carrier oil is amazing and everything is top shelf even down to the fragrance oils. I've been looking for a longer lasting fragrance. I love the strong sandalwood scent of HonestAmish but it doesn't last long at all. On your recommendation I ordered the Woodsman and Holy oil to try them out. . ;)

Luxurious has undoubtedly the best scents in the game. Every one is spot on and has so much depth. They are very prominent so I understand some not being for everyone. Wether the scents are your thing or not, the quality is some of the best out there. Also, Dave is just the best.

I tried luxurious for the first time. They immediately became my favorite after one purchase! Got the Frankenstein and wasn't too sure smelling out of the bottle because it hits you hard. But once I got it in beard, I kept smelling the different notes throughout the whole day! It's so so good. I can even smell it in the shower at night rinsing out. So if that's any indication of the rest of the scents I'm excited for more. As far as feel my beard has never felt so healthy and soft at the same time. Highly recommend. Also love catching the luxurious lounge on Fridays! I Do have a question as far as the washes go are they more gentle washes or are they more stripping?

This is fantastic and is very very accurate to me. I love Lux but... exactly like you said the scents were too huge for me. I actually loved that they are but in beard I just couldn't pull off the sort of attention grabbing power they have. I wanted to continue using his products but eventually stopped. This is precisely a way somebody like me can support LB with a slightly tamed down line. I hope he never changes the nature of the huge profiles because I really really wanted to love it and do think it's a fantastic vibe... long story short I'm going to order one of these new scents soon!

I like the bastard but at some point it feels as if he dumps so much fragrance to achieve his craft, he may be the first one to get shut down by IFRA.
Dave is extremely knowledgeable and states (even on his site) that his IFRA complaint, but I totally understand the wondering because they are sooo strong
Lux makes some of the best products in the game. Most unique scent profiles I have found. Also on the right side of the political spectrum which is always something I support 💯

A couple observations. Guys with shorter beards can probably get away with stronger scented products simply because a beard of your length and thickness simply carries a lot more product than most. Second, I'm not sure I agree Lux is stronger than Black Rebel, FWIW.
Great observations. You are likely right with the longer beard and more fragrance. And BRBC certainly does have strong scents too
