    My Castor Oil Story- I was at the dentist for a filling last year. In giving me the lidocaine shot the dentist hit a vein and I developed a huge hematoma in my right cheek. I was told to use ice packs on my cheek for 24 hours- 20 minutes on, 20 minutes off- THEN GO TO HEAT. When the time came to use heat I rubbed castor oil on my cheek and used a warm rice bag made out of a cotton sock. My bruising quickly left in all the areas where the castor oil and rice bag were. I still had bruising down my neck and up to the side off my eye where I did not use the castor oil and rice bag. Where I did not use the castor oil and rice bag the bruising lasted for well over 2 weeks.

    I’ve been mouth taping for a couple of years after I read the book “Breath,” I will never go back. I just slap it on after my skincare and mouth routine. Took a few nights to get used to but my sinuses are SOOO much better now.
    Your soapbox at the end is important. I live in Georgia and I’m always joking that I was only able to find medical help while I was an active womb, and now that I’m done having babies and have moved on to perimenopause, doctors have zero time or answers. Also as a person in poverty, I have only ever had access to healthcare as a pregnant person, so maybe there just isn’t healthcare available to impoverished mamas. I love the Good Samaritan clinic though, if any of y’all are in the same boat, try to find one! 💜 Great video Miss Angie!

    Back here again for a second comment… for the cold shower, try just turning the faucet back a little bit at a time throughout your shower to get to cold by the end and then it is easier to stay in cold water for a while.

    Castir oil completely dissolved a lump that was on my hand. I rubbed hexane free castor oil on the top of my hand and massaged it on every night before bed and after about 3 months, the lump was gone! Also, it cured the floaters in my eyes. It has also made my face super youthful looking and hydrated without a greasy feel. It does take a little bit for it to absorb, but do it at night when you go to bed and you wake up with silky soft skin!

    Love the “soapbox” at the end. Man. Raising teen girls and being done having kids puts a foot in both worlds and the medical community isn’t doing enough research. Appreciate you saying the things we’re all thinking! ❤

      The DO who helped me deliver my 2nd son 32 years ago had 4 daughters and frequently stated “It is God’s cruelest joke to have a mother in menopause with daughters in puberty.” DO’s and functional wellness/holistic practitioners changed my life.

    I feel for Charlie Horse leg sufferers- especially in the middle of the night. I used to get them when I was little- would cry and whimper and my parents would come in my room thinking I was being hurt. Massaging my calves didn’t work much and so I woke up with sore legs before school.
    I read a book years later that was geared for pregnant women, they said when you feel one coming up, FLEX YOUR TOES BACK TOWARDS YOU repeatedly and gently- it does the opposite and helps release that cramping. Even during the day, I’ll be standing up and I’ll start flexing my toes back on the leg having issues. Has saved me so much and hope it helps you all! 💟

    I learned about mouth taping many years ago via the Buteyko method. You can just use “paper tape” (that white medical tape that is usually used for holding gauze bandages in place, and similar). You don’t need much each night and I am sure it would be much cheaper. Also, if you watch too much true crime, you can force your mouth open with the tape if needed 😉

    I love magnesium lotion! But you can also wear compression socks if you know you’re gonna be super busy all day and that has really helped my leg cramps and my restless leg syndrome. I don’t wear them all the time, but when I know I’m gonna be on my feet all day, I definitely wear them and it helps!

    I’ve always done cold showers! I typically don’t have my water very warm throughout my showers to begin with. Then after doing all the necessities, I always stand under the water, slowly making it colder and colder until it gets as cold as possible before I get out.

    Suggestion: skip lotions altogether since most of them are not good for you anyway, use the castor oil and pair it with a magnesium spray/oil at night. The castor oil is the deepest penetrating oil and will carry that magnesium deeper into you muscles. Plus helping with all inflammation and muscle repairs you may be needing. Castor oil truly is a miracle worker.

    I just want to mention that if you experience very irregular periods and especially if you have vaginal discharges of any kind after menopause, you should definitely get medical attention to rule out cervical or uterine cancer. Catching mine early meant quick surgical treatment (laparoscopic hysterectomy -- which depending on your health can even be done as an outpatient procedure), a very fast and easy recovery, and a 95% chance of no recurrence.

    I had never heard taping your mouth until this morning when I watched a Dr. Dray vid about skin care habits that should "die in 2025". And here you are talking about it. However, she cautioned against it stating serious health concerns. Idk, it doesn't sound pleasant to me. Give me an extra cream.... I'd rather do that!🥴

    The thing about mouth taping though: there is a good chance there is an underlying reason you are breathing through your mouth when you sleep. If you just do the mouth taping without taking care of the underlying problem, that can be pretty harmful.

    • @thecatfamily3299
      @thecatfamily3299 11 днів тому +1

      What could the underline problem be? I'm just curious. I have sleep apnea and absolutely hate the machine. I feel like I cant breathe and the face mask bothers me. Just curious if you have more details on what you mean.

    • @tracyeilers678
      @tracyeilers678 10 днів тому +4

      @@thecatfamily3299 Dr. Dray here on youtube just did a video about this. On of the issues she mentioned could be chronic inflammation of the sinuses, also nasal polys. If the nasal airway is blocked or obstructed your body will naturally breath through the mouth. So if you tape your mouth, all you will be doing is depriving your brain of adequate oxygen which can lead to much more serious medical conditions over time.
