We have a daily drive Grand i10 2014 model and still on the original brake pads. Very reliable and in day to day driving still averages 5.5 liters/100km.
Nice straight forward review. Please could you include NCAP ratings and how well the headlights work at night on lit and unlit roads in your reviews. Besides how well a vehicle drives, I want to know if it's likely to kill me or just my passengers in a crash and whether I need to use a torch when driving at night. I can't believe vehicle manufacturers still want to skimp on air bags and other safety features but very few journos call them out on this. Thank you for having the courage to do so.
Im not quite 6' but I found this car way too small for me, both the hatch and sedan. Then I sat in the Dzire and and that car is a limo compared to this.
So true what you say. My sister has 3 kids and you must see how she packs herself and the kids and their bags and bikes in that car 😅 I LOVE this car and thIS MODEL IS STUNNING!!!!!!!
I think the grand i10 is a great vehicle but the prices are a bit too steep. On autotrader and on Hyundais website, brand new, they all start at around 270k and go up to 310k which I find to just be way too expensive. At that price point, I just think theres better out there, such as an entry level Tiggo 4.
Great car but terrible gearbox. Even Hyundai dealers are quick to acknowledge it. We have the 22 model and my neighbour has the 2021 atos with the same gearbox issue.
For me the Kia version always seems better than the Hyundai version. For example, a Picanto feels more solid and has better quality materials than the i10 with which they share engines and platforms. Same for the Kia Sportage and Hyundai Tucson. The Sportage feels much nicer inside with better build and material quality despite being on the same platform as the Hyundai. I just don't understand it. Hyundais are so overpriced these days for what you get. They feel extremely cheap especially the i20 for example. I can't believe it costs that much. Rather get a Kia if you're looking in this range.
I agree with you on this.... I think it might have something to do with most Kia's still being built in Korea, while most Hyundais being built in India, especially the smaller cars.
Just bought a 2 year old Grand i10, for a daily runaround. Got a 3 year service plan and 7 year warranty. Under R190k.
To think I got mine brand new for R180k in 2015. Car prices today are insane

@@muhammadtimol7544 my older sister recently purchased a 2019 isuzu d max 3.0 td double cab but she may service it soon
I think he means that it's on the original brake pads from when he bought it... Not the factory brake pads. I'm hoping so😂
Very interesting to see rear aircon vents, well done Hyundai.
Some 600k plus cars overlook this comfort for passengers

Hyundai and kia are one of the few brands where i fit in all there cars (2 meters tall). I don't fit in a omada or a grand Vitara.
Wowzer! That is so crazy. Just another reason to love Kia (and Hyundai)

Point of correction the 1.2 is a 4 cylinder and similar power as the 1.4 polo vivo.
I think this is a good Suzuki Swift replacement and I am considering 😊
You even got rear AC ducts 😋
Started to sound like Zuma there 😂😂😂.

Juliet i had the previous generation i 10 which gave me no problems the North Korean cars have really challenged other brand of cars!!!!!
So it appears that they re-instated the 60/40 split on the rear seat backrest which was missing on the previous model and that sucked!
Such great advice. Thank you Juliet!
Hyundai...Like Sunday Juliet. x
3rd gear does seem to be the user-friendly gear in i10's. Will allow you to climb some speed humps too
Stunning review like always!
Missing the music and singalong in the car 😅
What about the i20 instead of the Sadan?
Juliet you are my favourite youtube car reviewer!! Keep up the good work. lots of love!! FYI i love your name ♥
Ahhhhhh you have made my whole day. Thank you so much. xxxxxxx

I though you said "tick heads" and wanted to ask if it was a CPT think. Two kids. Got it.
Lekker review and great scenery
where did you find one for like R197000 💔, asking for a friend
I really enjoyed the story Juliet

Too match talk
😂😂 it runs in South African Zuma n numbers
Its the best value for money if you look @ polo without electronic mirrors and back electronic windows
Korean vehicles much better than Chinese ones.
🆒😎👍!
Calling this dinky little noddy car "Grand" is like calling a Ford Mustang EcoBoost "a muscle car"
It. Just. Isn't.
