I went carnivore 9 months ago. I have psoriasis and psoriasis arthritis. I was in excruciating pain taking about a dozen meds a day. I no longer take biologics, methotrexate or any pain medication. I'm pain free. Is it tough in the beginning?Sure. Would you rather eat that cake or be pain free? That's the question you need to ask yourself and answer it too.

You are correct that diet is critically important in the treatment of ailments. Choices made have consequences and often sticking to these choices is not easy. However, giving up favored foods like sweets may result in a pain-free life.

2years after ra diagnosis. Replaced left hip 2 years after replaced right hip. Year after in wheelchair. Every joint is locked. Hand closed shut. No dr is willing to do thereapy. They say its not goin to do anything. Cant have surgery yet because joints are healthy still. I blame 5 years of PREDNISONE use. Im lost and hurt greatly everyday.

I can relate to your situation! I'm 71 and became disabled at 50! Have fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome, and osteoarthritis, and have had 5 spinal fusions! I am doing so much better with pain and energy, and doctor has cancelled my last two needed lumbar fusions because I am doing so well! Off my walker and cane now. I went keto, and then Carnivore, and cannot believe the difference it makes! Also when I go off plan, like for my sister's birthday and for Thanksgiving, I cannot believe how bad I feel!! I encourage you to search for videos on the amazing results of the keto, and especially, the Carnivore way of eating!! It's definitely worth trying to see if it works for you! God bless you!! ❤🤗🙏🙏

I've been controlling my Rheumatoid Arthritis with eating 120 gram of beef protein and 200 grams of animal fat and it like night and day. I let my food drop below that I start swelling and walking is a no go, sometime I can limp on it but usually it to painful to walk on. So I make sure I get that amount or more to keep the pain down that I don't even notice it anymore almost. When I was first diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis I couldn't open my arms all the way just half way, now I can fully extend them with no pain. I didn't believe it would help but oh yes it did! Not to mention all the other unhealthy things going got better also. Unfortunately wasn't enough to save the cartilage in my ankle. I'm gathering it would grow back if I walk on it from what you said, did I understand that correctly?

I’m a housekeeper for a school. My Fitbit tracks me at 20,000+ steps a shift. I work hard on my feet all day.
I cannot for my life understand ‘motion is lotion’ quote. My ankle is stiff all day and night, but the worst pain comes from mid-end shift. And when I say pain, I mean absolute agony! Tylenol and Advil are useless. My doctor recently referred me to a specialist. He said I may need a shot in my ankle. I’ll do anything, I have to work to survive, I literally cannot afford to be in pain. Please say a prayer I find relief!

I just discovered you yesterday. Have watched several videos. I am 66 yrs old, have osteoarthritis in knees down to toes, planters fasciitis and am flat footed. Been to orthopedic doctor, wore certain shoes and inserts for my job bc I stand 7.5 hrs a day on concrete. The insoles I wore only made things hurt worse so got a pr of sketchers, the insoles being memory foam and soft helped so much but they don’t make replacement insoles. What insoles would you suggest? I’ve been through numerous prs trying to find the best thickness to no avail. Ty

I was diagnosed with OA 5 years ago but overtime it has gotten better as I kept doing physical therapy and didn't stop moving (walking). The pain comes back during winter when I don't walk that much due to snow and ice, but during spring, summer and autumn I easily walk 10k+ steps a day (because I commute to work). I am now thinking of joining a fitness club and start doing 30 minute cycling on my own at the gym 2x a week. And then there is such a thing as a societal pressure of what kind of shoes are appropriate to wear. For me the most comfortable shoes are sneakers and flat soled shoes with custom made insoles. Sometimes, especially if you work at a corporate environment, people expect you to wear shoes that are NOT meant for people with OA. So that sucks. But I ignore that.

I have a pilon fracture. My joint space was damaged. Yesterday my doctor told me that i shall not consider Running because it will accelerate arthritis because it is high impact. I was able to find many articles that say the same...i was a runner and i got very very upset, but my main goal is no pain. I dont have arthritis yet but have a high chance of developing it. Do you agree with all of this or no? Because having watched this video, i feel like it says quite the opposite....but maybe it does not mean running After injury when arthritis can be accelerated?..i am confused.

Very Thorough Video, Doc. You describe very well what many Orthos and Pain Management doctors Don't. I have come to learn how crucial Physiatry as a Body Science is very important. I suffered a Fractured right Femur in 1966 playing HS football (I'm 71 now). My leg was in a traction splint ( sandbag and pulley were attached to a screw placed in my knee- later removed) for 6 weeks in the Hospital; then placed in a full Body cast from my chest - down both legs, sent home with Hospital bed for 2 1/2 months. When the cast came off, my right leg was 1 inch shorter. The Orthopedic Dr. was surprised. But left it unaddressed & my shy European parents never thought to ask for what should be done. FF many years later, about 15 or so, the Lower back problems started with stiffness on bending and slow walking. In those old days, they knew nothing about Growth Plates in bones. I was a 15 year old male teenager, who was starting to grow rapidly. The left leg grew, the right didn't! Over the decades, that Leg Length Discrepancy (LLD), affected Everything - from my hips, traversing to the C1 Cervical Vertebrea. I have Dextroscoliosis which I believe was a result of the LLD, one doctor agrees, another disagrees. Now I have OA in many areas of my spine, facet joints, thin Back Discs (DDD), and sites of Stenosis. The crimping of the spinal canal affects the Central nervous system and the peripheral nervous system too. I am Bone on Bone in the right knee, and OA in my left Hip and left knee. SI joints have sacrioiilitis, which according to my RA doctor (I don't have RA), the SI joints are "ground Zero" for many spinal maladies - the issues travel Up & Down from the SI joints. Major nerves pass through the Sacrum and the SI joints. This Video presents very well the Physiatry of how alignments of your body greatly affect the joints.

I'm feeling a bit better but my food choices are expensive. It's seems crazy but I am convinced that the main stream medical establishment also owns food distribution so they can push cheap garbage foods and make healthier options expensive so they will have a customer base who always needs medical care. Until we pass single payer government health insurance with oversight we will always be pushed into the most money making medical choices for the medical industry. Many times you see that the joint isn't so bad, but you feel pain!!!!
It turns out, as far as i understand it, that the brain is sooo finetuned, that it can measure ultrafine wear out. And the brain says, if i measure more wear than repair, i make pain 😳

Can you make cartilage by starting to move more after being sedentary for years? The pain keeps me from working out. Chronic pain for me for 20 years.
Who do we see to help us with what you're talking about?
I was obese for many years as an adult and lost weight. I was 300 and now 155. Muscles are gone too.
I also have oa and RA and psa, (inflammatory arthritis). I am 60 and need knee replacements in both from being obese so long.
Also severe low back pain that started in my late 20s.
Any advice who to see who will help me?

I have been a long distance walker since 23. I'm 67 now. About 2 years ago, I started feeling pain in my right thigh, lateral side & typical groin area.
Found out I have osteoarthritis of the hip. It hurts to walk. Walking DOESN'T make my hip feel any better! As a matter of fact, it makes it worse.
So where is this idea you (and others) claim has ANY truth to it for me?? It doesn't.
I do walk on my treadmill at home now. No more walking outside. And I take baby steps, slower, and only on incline, too. Walking on concrete hurts, no matter what.
Something about baby steps & slower pace on incline treadmill helps. I don't get it.
I do my treadmill incline walk 30 minutes everyday. And there, I do feel some pain relief.

  • @nunnaurbiznez8815
    @nunnaurbiznez8815 Рік тому

This all makes sense but I can't even get a doctor to address anything but my symptoms. I used to have a physiatrist who was helpful but he retired now all I can get is doctors who the first thing out of their mouth is they won't give me pain medication. I can't get any response for the fact I need treatment but can't move well enough to get to the office. It's impossible to find any treatment of the underlying problem because most doctors are focusing on pain medication and opioid issues. I dont know if it's because the subject has become such an issue with DEA that doctors just don't want to discuss the REASON you're in pain, but the opioid issue has ruined treatment for patients. If a doctor can't or won't prescribe antiinflammatories and opioid meds to get patients help through these flares, it's crazy to just assume a person will be able to "push through" a level of pain that makes it hard to even think.

Just tried Cortisone shot, lasted 5 days, now back to agony. I take good vitamins, have lost 30 lbs, drink good ph balance water. I am at a loss.

My issue is hip pain, I have osteoarthritis of the hip. Not knee. I don't have any issues with pronation or buckling legs, or anything wrong with my footing.
I thought this video would suggest REAL hip with my hip pain & you went more towards knee pain.
BTW: Supplements aren't proven to work!! They POSSIBLY MAY, but more than likely, it's a placebo effect!
And if Curcumin was REALLY some wonder food, then there would be a whole lot less surgery going on in our world--AND THAT AIN'T happening!
    Not learning anything new here.

The hardest part about getting arthritis early (in my 30s) from an injury after literally no physical ailments before, is the sheer sense of anger at my body's betrayal: How can my flesh-prison betray me by like this? And the sense of being a defective human being that in ancient times would have been abandoned by the tribe for being unable to keep up.
It has become clear just why people in the past believed in curses and demons afflicting the body, yet it is not even that dramatic. The body just sucks, and I am growing more and more hateful for the human condition by the day...

I loved the very good info “motion is lotion” and that it is possible with the right physiotherapy to build new cartilege and balanced strength around the joints. I find your food advice a little unclear except for refined sugar and processed flower as cookies, pasties and spagettiers and processed meat and alcohol are all just bad. Its also clear that your advice about fats are: keep the optinal balance between omega 3 and omega 6 1:1 , but your practice of what fats to eat and use in cooking it totally opposite to the advice from life style doctors such as dr Ornish? That seems a bit strange since you both talk about research based knowledge 🍀💚🐸

Ummm, Go barefoot, don't wear cushioned shoes, don't wear pointy toed shoes, don't wear orthotics, we need foot shaped footwear. Learn about natural foot exercises to strengthen the feet, an orthotic stiffens the arch which we need to act as a spring for correct foot movement. I'm surprised you prescribe foot wear that isn't natural for feet, that's archaic
