@@fuckngreat8955 Everything inside a mkIV is sticky, all the plastics with the soft touch peeling after 20 years. Yuck. Also roof liner and door cards unsticking and sagging. But it's reliable mechanicaly so i can't complain, it's just been oil and brake changes for the last 5 years.
@@lazar2175 i know what its all about 😂 I used acetone and brake cleaner to remove the sticky rubber coating, and i wrapped most parts with a high end matte black wrap, except for the door handles, i plastidipped those as i dont like the feel of car wrap on my door handles, and thats holding up really good
@@lazar2175 the door cards can be fixed with special glue thats made to stick on headliners, that was pretty easy and didnt take a whole lot of money, I didnt do much with the original headliner, i removed it, and put a new one with extra glue in there
@@lazar2175 also: you might want to remive the foam from the inside of your fender above your front wheels, They hold moisture and cause alot of rust in your front fenders
"Driver cooling is way more important" Amen, you can't properly concentrate on driving if you're sweating and uncomfortably hot, there is a reason that most modern race cars have cooling for the driver of some sort.
Yep, way better to use 99% of a heavier car than like 90% of a mildly lighter one, always wondered why manufacturers allowed you to option w/o air con in their track focused cars etc. No one is going to be faster just because of a few kilos of weight difference other than manufacturer test drivers.

Not true, as a kid I dreamed of an RX8 (cause of Need for speed MW of course) and later on, when I knew a bit more about cars, I definitely am not a fan of diesel for spirited driving, for highway it is king ofc. but not for joy imo.

There is really no good video in English that I could find about the dos and don'ts when it comes to modifications and TÜV

What was the reason behind going down the VAG diesel route? Especially, selecting this 1.9 4 pots engine - why not, for example a 3.0 liter 6 pot BMW engine in an E90 chasis? Or an e87 120kw - similar price tag.

Comment on the A/C . Could you use a setup like the dodge demon . It uses a condenser to chill the intake air temps. I recently watched a UA-cam honigan project car video, it had a Honda Civic ,4cyl, with a turbo , with a custom A/C setup . Just might work . Love you guys I’m a long time fan .
Why are you having long delays with shipments from England? I received wire mesh grilles from Zunsport in England three days after I ordered them. (I live in the USA)
You also want to drive the engine on the road, how will you get a registration with it? I think that will be impossible, especially with a tuned diesel engine.

Right! Even LMP cars have AirCondition today. It`s even mandated. Not really save going fast and almost passing out because of heat or dehydration.

Usually the intercooler sits in front of the AC condensor so cooling shouldn't be an issue, I think

Radiator condensers can operate at +150c, right next to th IC. Definitely would reconsider the removal of the AC system
